The Great Futures Campaign
In the fall of 2017, the staff and Board of Directors of Watertown Boys &
Girls Club launched the $1.4 million Great Futures Capital Campaign. The
campaign aims to raise funds needed to renovate the Club’s facility,
with a focus on building a Teen Center, increasing security, and
improving accessibility.
The new Teen Center will be a dedicated space for Club members ages
13-18, where they will engage in a variety of activities, including SAT prep
courses, computer classes, and community service activities. The
entryway to the building will be updated to increase security by adding a
checkpoint through which members and guests alike will need to pass in
order to obtain access to the building. The campaign will also raise funds
to add an ADA-compliant ramp in front of the building to ensure
accessibility for all.

A Message from Leadership
2017 was a very exciting year for our organization!
Thanks to generous supporters like you, we continued to
expand our program offerings and broaden our reach.
Throughout the year, our staff worked diligently to ensure that they
provided the best opportunities for our youth members. We added
things like hip hop dance, kayak polo, and science class to our
program schedule. We increased our focus on our teenage members
and started offering weekly “Teen Nights”. It is our hope that by
widening the scope of our programming, the Club will have some-
thing to offer for children of all ages, abilities, and interests.
In 2017, we announced the $1.4 million Great Futures Capital
Campaign. The funds raised from the campaign will allow us to
renovate our facility, which will include adding a Teen Center and an
ADA-accessible ramp, and updating our entryway to increase
security. To date, we have raised $1.1 million and anticipate
breaking ground in Spring of 2018!
Watertown Boys & Girls Club has served as the town’s leading youth
development agency for over 45 years. As we enter 2018, a year
that will be filled with positive changes, we would like to thank all
those who helped us get to where we are today! All of this would not
be possible without the support of our committed Board of Directors,
donors, and community members.
Thank you for your support—we will see you in 2018!
Sincerely,
Renée Gaudette
Executive Director

Testimonials from Parents of Club Members
“When I first got to Watertown, I wasn’t sure of what to do or if my
son was going to like staying at the Club. Now, if I have a day off,
he prefers to go to the Club. He is always talking about all the staff
being awesome and all the running and sports he is doing there.
You made him get into shape and his asthma is gone!”
“This has been a terrible year for my family. To say the Club has
stepped up in so many ways is an understatement. I feel that
without the Club my kids would have been lost and so would I.
The staff has been so supportive and to say thank you isn’t
enough. The staff listens, offers words of encouragement, and at
times a shoulder to lean on. We are very lucky to have Watertown
Boys & Girls Club.”
