EVANSIA
The aim of Evansia is to provide a vehicle for the presentation and exchange of useful information on North American bryophytes and lichens. Articles are frequently popular in nature rather than technical and are intended to teach and inform both amateurs and professionals. The articles include, but are not restricted to, announcements of and reports on forays and meetings, presentations of techniques and aids for studying and curating lichens, bryophytes, and hepatics; and reports on local floras. Occasionally, articles of broad interest from locations other than North America may be included.

The journal was created to improve the quality of graduate medical education during a time of great change. JGME has 2 goals: (1) to provide a venue for educators and researchers to publish valuable research and innovation about residency and fellowship education and (2) to improve the quality of research available to inform graduate medical education training decisions. Articles about any aspect of resident and fellow training are appropriate for JGME. Single or multispecialty reports, and single- or multi-institutional reports are encouraged; single-specialty studies should be of interest and potentially applicable to other specialties.

COVER ART. Taricha granulosa (Caudata: Salamandridae) is one of 144 amphibians in 28 families known to inhabit naturally and/or anthropogenically saline habitats. Gareth R. Hopkins photographed this female Rough-skinned Newt near a tidal stream along the Pacific coast of Curry County, Oregon, USA. In this is-sue of Herpetological Monographs, Gareth R. Hopkins and Edmund D. Brodie, Jr., argue that amphibians use saline habitats much more often than previously assumed. They review the current state of knowledge on this subject and introduce an evolutionary perspective to amphibian adaptation to saline environments.
