Manny As we discussed, we are focusing on Tuesday, Jan 12, 2016 for the tour of PTN 6&7. We anticipate being able to complete the tour on Tuesday and will provide a box lunch for any of the participates to save travel time. I have attached directions from the airport to PTN 6&7 site. In addition, I have also attached directions from the Dadeland Marriott to the South District Wastewater Treatment Plant [from where we will be obtaining reclaimed water for cooling] and then onto the PTN 6&7 site. We can discuss these at your convenience. Here is my suggestions for touring PTN 6 & 7: The plan is to meet at the daycare center. You all can leave your car there and we will have a mini-van for participates. We will proceed to the Land Utilization Building for a safety/environmental brief. Tour Stops can include:
1. UIC exploratory well 2. Units 6 & 7 plant area 3. Airboat tour of Cooling Canal System 4. Southern perimeter of the Industrial Wastewater Facility (spoils storage areas, Card Sound Canal) 5. Equipment barge unloading area, Radial collector wells (RCW) caissons & laterals). We plan on arranging a
specific time for security (2 pm) 6. Reclaimed Water Treatment Facility (RWTF) & RW pipeline, 7. Existing/proposed roads and overpasses (117th, 137th, 359th, L-31E bridge) 8. Return to Land Utilization (LU) building for box lunch ($10/person donation) after 11:30 am. 9. Tour ends at the FPL day-care center.
Notes.
1. The only set time will be to go out to the Equipment barge unloading area at 2 pm. We are flexible with the actual route and route will depend on what time you all actually arrive on-site.
