POLK COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY2016 HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Executive Committee of the Polk County Republican Party ispleased to announce the 2016 Polk County Republican Party HighSchool Scholarships. The Polk County Republican Party will award two

one-time $500 scholarships to a graduating senior of Cedartown HighSchool and a graduating senior of Rockmart High School, both of whichmust be a physical resident of Polk County. Recipients will beannounced at each high school’s senior honor night.

DEADLINE OF APPLICATION: MAY 7 2016

HOW TO APPLY:•  Compose a minimum 500-word essay following the writing

prompt listed below.•  The first page of your essay should include the followinginformation;

-Your Name-Name of High School and Your Grade Point Average (GPA)-Email Address-Phone Number-Mailing Address-Overview of extra curricular and/or community involvement -Name of college(s) you plan on applying to or will be attending 

•  In an effort to consider the environment before printing, weencourage you to email your application rather than printingand mailing it. Therefore, the file should be saved as a PDFand emailed to Colt Chambers, Scholarship CommitteeChairman, at [email protected] before the deadline listedabove.

WRITING PROMPT: What do you see as being the core values of theRepublican Party, and how do you see those values working to improve thefuture of our country? Further, imagine you are the elected Representative

of your hometown, or are working on the campaign or staff of an electedRepresentative. What issues would you work to address, and how wouldyou strive to enact conservative policies in your local area?
