Mar#n J. Bi@ner,MD FACP - is an Associate Professor of InternalMedicine and ofMedicalMicrobiology and Immunology at the Creighton University School of Medicine. He is alsoAdjunctAssociateProfessorattheUniversityofNebraskaMedicalCenter.Dr.BiUnerreceivedhisM.D.fromHarvardUniversityandjoinedtheCreightonfacultyin1981.HedidhisInternalMedicineResidencyattheUniversityofMichiganMedicalCenterinAnnArbor.Hecompletedan Infec3ous Diseases Fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Carleigh B. Koenck,MD - is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine, and acurrent resident of InternalMedicine at theCreightonUniversityMedical Center inOmaha,Nebraska. She oversees the training of medical students and junior residents in InternalMedicine. She is amemberof thepres3giousAlphaOmegaAlphaHonor Society, researchcontributor, and an ac3ve volunteer in the Omaha Community. She embodies her Jesuiteduca3onthroughherdedica3ontoservingothers,especiallytheunderservedintheOmahacommunity.Shehasastronginterestindermatologicandrheumatologicdisorders.

RobertB.Doherty, is SeniorVicePresident ofGovernmentalAffairs&Public Policy for theAmerican College of Physicians, the largest physician specialty society and second largestmedical organiza3on in the United States. ACP represents 137,000 Internal Medicinephysicians and medical students. Mr. Doherty has more than 33 years of health policyexperienceand isanaccomplishedpresenterathealthconferences.From1979to1998,Mr.DohertyworkedintheGovernmentalAffairsDepartmentoftheAmericanSocietyof InternalMedicine,andwiththemergerofASIMandACPinJune,1998,joinedtheACPasSeniorVicePresident for Governmental Affairs and Public Policy. Lou Lukas, MD - is an Associate adjunct professor of Family Medicine at the University ofNebraskaMedicalCenterandtheMedicalDirectorofPallia3veMedicineatNebraskaMethodistHealthsystem.Sheisboardcer3fiedinFamilymedicineandHospiceandPallia3veMedicine,andaUendedmedicalschoolatUNMC,familymedicineresidencyatLehighValleyHealthSystem,theRobertWoodJohnsonClinicalScholarsProgramattheUniversityofMichigan,Pallia3veMedicineEduca3onandPrac3ce(PCEP)attheHarvardMedicalSchool.Priortoreloca3ngtoNebraskashewas the CMO for Hospice of the Chesapeake in Annapolis Maryland, a large not- for-profithospice serving 500 pa3ents daily. ShannonWakeley,MD-completedadegreeinExerciseScienceattheUniversityofNebraska,Lincoln.ShethenaUendedmedicalschoolatUNMC.FollowingmedicalschoolshecompletedherInternalMedicineresidencyattheUniversityofCalifornia,DavisinSacramento.Shethenreturned to UNMC and completed her Endocrinology Fellowship July 2010. She enjoysspending3mewithherfamily,running,hiking,andtravel.

ThomasG.Tape,MD,FACP-isChairoftheACPBoardofRegents.Dr.TapejoinedACPin1985and became a Fellow of the College in 1991. He has also served as ACP Governor for theNebraskaChapterfrom2008-2012,ChairoftheBoardofGovernorsin2012-2013,andChairedtheHealthandPublicPolicyCommiUeefrom2013-2015.HealsocurrentlyservesontheHighValue Care Task Force. Dr. Tape is an academic physicianwho is board-cer3fied in internalmedicine. He is Professor and Chief of General InternalMedicine as well as Vice-chair forClinicalAffairsof theDepartmentof InternalMedicineat theUniversityofNebraskaMedicalCenter (UNMC). Dr. Tape received his BA fromDartmouth College in 1977 and anMD fromWashington University in St. Louis in 1981. His residency in InternalMedicine and researchFellowship inGeneral InternalMedicinewereboth completedat theUniversityofRochester(NewYork). Immediatelyacerfinishinghis training in1986,he joined the InternalMedicinefacultyatUNMC. Hisworkatthemedicalcenterblendsteaching,research,pa3entcareandadministra3on. His research has focused on beUer understanding how physicians makediagnos3candtherapeu3cmedicaldecisions.
