DESIGN

COTTAGE NATIVE MODERN FORMAL

CONSULTATION

MATERIALS

Melbourne Brick have aligned themselves with one of Melbourne’s premier landscape design companies, Andrew Whyte Landscape Design.

Andrew Whyte Landscape Design is a collaborative team consisting of Landscape Architects and creatives who design custom-based landscapes that reflect their client’s inspired dreams.

Melbourne Brick have consistently provided quality products and have selected Andrew Whyte as their design partner, who will best apply their products within high quality projects.

Designing a space requires an in-depth understanding of style, space planning and material selection to achieve functionality and aesthetics within a project. Consulting with a professional is the first step to better understanding the potential of your garden and achieving the best results.

The initial consultation is the first step in your landscape design process. We discuss your existing space, the elements and functions you require and desire, as well as creating an appropriate budget for your project. Examples and design suggestions are thoroughly discussed during the meeting to determine your design brief.

Leaving this consultation you will have a clear understanding as to what can be achieved, what style and materials are appropriate, and the costs involved with creating your landscape project. It also allows you to experience working with our design partners, so that you have the confidence in their ability to provide you with an inspiring design.

Selecting a material palette that suits the style of your project and

home separates the good designs from the best designs.

It is crucial to have an in-depth understanding of the entire space

and an extensive product range available to create a stunning

material palette for any project.

DESIGN PROCESSL a n d s c a p e D e s i g n

The design begins by visiting your site to conduct a site analysis, which includes measuring, photographing and noting all relevant information. Now with a greater knowledge of your existing space, we catch up at the studio to discuss the project in greater detail and formulate the brief for your design. Your Landscape Master Plan is developed over a series of meetings, each one evolving from the last. Our aim with the Master Plan is to provide you with a visual representation of your future garden. The design also includes example images that provide you with a clearer vision of the overall style and specific features included. Also included are a detailed planting scheme showing all plants and quantities, a lighting plan and elevation drawings, which further provide you with clarity of your design. An estimated Costs of Works will be provided at the first draft we present to you.

This estimate is very important as it allows you to grasp the costs involved for each element, i.e. paving and planting costs, allowing us to modify the design in accordance with your chosen budget. On conclusion of the Master Plan, we can revise the estimated cost to a fixed quotation and as registered builders we are in a position to offer you our 20 plus years experience to build your project exactly as it was designed.
