2016 ICF Canoe Polo World Championships, Syracuse, Italy Confirmation of Entry requirement

Dear President, In accordance with the qualification system requirements I now invite your entry to the ‘final rounds’ to be held in Syracuse, Italy, with competition days 30th August – 4th September 2016 and the Opening Ceremony being on Tuesday 30th September 2016. Please find attached a ‘Confirmation of Entry’ form which should be submitted to me by latest:

>> 20th January 2016 << Once your entry is confirmed more detailed forms/bulletins/accreditation information will of course follow in due time. Your entry is important to the continued development of Canoe Polo. The ‘qualification system’ was introduced in 2004 to try and produce improved competition at the finals, encourage participation in Continental Championships, and to generate a more consistent number of entries into each World Championship. This has been working, and the consistency of entries greatly assists the hosts, in this case Italy, to prepare fully. I must note, again in accordance with the published system, that once this confirmation is submitted, if it is withdrawn the respective team will not be eligible for the World Championships in 2018. WILD CARD ‘Wild Card’ invites will be sent by separate letter on 16th January, after the response of the Confirmation in this letter, depending by the numbers of available positions. Will be requested an answer by latest 10th February.

24 - Referee Administration Fee Additionally, please note that in accordance with the ICF Canoe Polo Rules for 2015 a ‘Referee Administration Fee’ will be again be used which will enable the refund of flights for 24 referees. For your early information it is anticipated that the levy will be approximately 350 Euros per team (not applicable to hosts) and a further letter will be sent once referee nominations and selection has been completed.
