The crockery creek property is an awesome place to hike and hunt the only reason I

didnt get to hunt the property was because of a family medical situation that arose. I

did get to walk around and scout. Thank you for the opportunity to hunt.

1 0 3pm to 6pm No No Yes No NoProgram seems good. My intentions were to hunt this plot more. I think this is a

great opportunity to manage deer in Ottawa County

a couple of times during the

week ...both times that I

hunted on the weekends...

I like the fact that the prehunt meeting was dropped...I also like the fact that there is

an APR...kinda makes it a challanging hunt....maybe a contact person or a way to

determine property owners in case the need to cross property lines to retrieve a

deer...I understand that sometimes people don't always get their permits if they are

drawn, just don't allow them to be in the draw's after that, just like if they don't do

the survey..otherwise I like the way things are, and would also give Ann a big shout

out of thanks for answering all my questions...

I was unable to take advantage of the hunt due to repeated illnesses that ravaged

our household for the weeks of the hunt. I considered hunting late in the season

(Nov 10-16) but was unable to.

entrance.

The deer numbers are way down due to the die off in 2012 from the EHD disease and

do not appear to be increasing very much. I saw very few deer with two of the times

not seeing any at all. I would like to request that the shooting of Does not be allowed

for a few years.

Saw many more deer than last

year including my first sighting of

a buck on the property

Yes No Yes About 1/2 of the time

We love this program and thoroughly enjoy the chance to hunt on the Crockery

property. Had a great year and found several new hunting spots where I saw 10+

deer at a time.

6 5 4- dark No No Yes No YesEvery time I was out there

were people using the park.

No, I was very happy with the opportunity to hunt this property. I saw a lot of deer

just not in the right range!

15 15dawn to 1030am and 3pm to

darkNo Yes

Saw a duck fly into the power

lines and dieYes No Yes

Every hunt. Lots of people

with dogs of leashes chasing

deer. Also lots of older people

hanging out in the parking lot

smoking.

I think opening the hunting up to the first day of archery season would be great.

Managing the open hiking and mountain bike trails during the time would also be

excellent. I thought the property was great and it is very hard for next year to

decide on 1st or 2nd season to apply. The reasoning is during first season you get lots

of people wandering around but you have some of the better deer activity based on

the rut. During second season I feel you would see less people but the deer traffic

would be greatly different and maybe harder to locate. Also every property around

the Upper Mac has a gun blind on it with the windows facing the Upper Mac. I am

sure plenty of deer are poached from those locations each year. Also as stated in a

prior email. Opening duck hunting out there would be great, the property would be

off the charts good and could demand a bunch of money.

Each time I went out there

were people in the parking lot

and hikers and bikers on the

trails but nobody was in the

woods when I was hunting.

You should really allow baiting. This area doesn't have a high density of deer so if we

could bait this would give the hunters a much better opportunity of at least seeing

deer.

6 2 4-6.5 No YesI saw what looked like a cougar

track coming out of the swampYes No Yes

Each hunt I saw a few but was

able to get out away from

common areas

Weather had an effect on success this year. Passed up several deer but didn't get a

chance on a mature buck. I hope to get another chance now that I have experienced

the property. Thanks!!!

4 0 4pm to 7pm No Yes

I saw several large barn owls on

the south end of the property

along with some of the biggest

squirrels I've ever seen.

Yes No Yes Only once. More parking areas for hunters.

3 0 7-10am and 3pm to sunset No No Yes No Yes Once

I feel an Antler Point Retriction "4 or more points on one side" would gather more

interest to hunters and the number of permits may have been too many this year.

The number of permits made me not hunt weekends because of the likely-hood of

encroaching and other hunters.

Saw quite a few deer, mainly does

and small bucks. There are big

ones in there and it would be cool

to see the property managed. Just

an idea, but try to put in an 8

point rule for next year. Lot of

coyotes and ducks

Yes No YesOnce. Just at the trail head.

Very friendly

Put restrictions on the size of buck that is allowed to be killed. There is GREAT

genetics in there and would be awesome to see some antler point restrictions. I

passed a few young bucks this year that will be great deer in a year or two.

Less people getting drawn to hunt and antler point restrictions of a 8 point

minimum also maybe limit areas people can walk or ride bikes during the hunt dates

the trails and never where I

was hunting.

I like the system the way you have it. Wish we could hunt it more. It's an amazing

piece of property that has a ton of deer and other wildlife on it. I could see the need

for a gun season someday to manage the deer. Thanks for the opportunity.

Directly East of the parking lot off

of 84th Street in the patch of

woods there.

park trails.

I really enjoyed this hunt. I saw lots of deer and other wildlife. I didn't observe any

property lines but made sure I stayed well away from the edge according to the
