Day 1
Day 30
If a Player ‘s immediately previous registration was with an
International Club, FFA needs to request an ITC from the
National Association of that International Club.
FFA cannot register a Player unless and until the ITC is received
(or no response has been received from the National Association
30 days from the date of FFA’s request).
ITC’s are only permitted if the player is aged 18 or over (subject
to the Minor ITC Process).
Clubs should allow approx. 35 days from the date the ITC is
requested by selecting “Request ITC” on MyFootballClub.
All club enquiries should be directed to the relevant Member
Federation, including whether FFA has requested the ITC.
If the Player is transferring from one of the following countries,
Clubs (or the Player) need to send the Member Federation a
scan of their passport: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile,
Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala,
Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay,
Peru, Spain, Suriname, Uruguay or Venezuela.

MyFootballClub 2016: requesting an ITC
Presentation name : 00.00.00 : Page 3
STEP 1: During a Self-Registration, a player will confirm they last played football in another country other
than Australia. Details including previous country, club and last season played are entered. The
player proceeds through registration and their registration status becomes ‘Pending ITC’.
Please Note: If these details are incorrect or incomplete, Clubs will need to amend this information
before proceeding to Step 2.

STEP 2: The ITC request will appear in the ‘Approve Registrations’ tab of a club’s MFC administration portal. The club now has the
option to ‘Request ITC’ or choose to decline the player from their Club. Once ‘Request ITC’ is selected, the player’s data
is sent to FFA to request an ITC.
Please Note: If the Player is transferring from one of the following countries, Clubs (or the Player) need to send the
Member Federation a scan of the Player’s passport: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica,

Transfer Certificates:
Professional Adults If a Player was previously registered with an International Club and the New Australian Club wishes to register
them as a Professional, the New Australian Club will need to request that Player’s ITC (with FFA’s assistance)
via the FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS).
If the Club is for some reason unaware of this requirement and requests an ITC for a professional through
MyFootballClub, FFA will contact the relevant Member Federation and ask to be put in touch with the Club.
Registering for the FIFA Transfer Matching System
This requires a declaration to be signed by the Club, and an individual declaration to be signed by the Club’s
nominated TMS User (who is also required to provide their passport for identification purposes). FFA then
applies on behalf of the Club and the User to have them accredited for FIFA TMS.
Transferring players via FIFA Transfer Matching System
Four documents are required for a transfer in pdf scans less than 2MB.
• A signed copy of the Player’s professional contract with the new club.
• A letter confirming termination date of the Player’s previous professional contract (or proof of expiry date).
• A declaration from the Player’s previous club that it holds no third party interests (a template is available on
request from the relevant Member Federation).
• A copy of the player’s passport.
Timing: Professional Players may only transfer into Australia during a transfer window
There is only one exception to this rule: A professional whose previous professional contract has expired prior
to the close of the last transfer window may be registered outside that transfer window.

Day 1
Day 30
As a baseline, the FIFA Regulations provide:
International transfers of players are only
permitted if the player is over the age of 18.
(Art 19.1)
FFA is able to consider applications for the transfer of
minors who meet the FIFA exception in Art. 19.2(a):
The player’s parents move to the country in
which the new club is located for reasons not
linked to football.
This includes children who are either:
• transferring their registration; or
• registering to play football for the first time.
Children aged under 10 do not require an ITC.
Clubs can obtain further information, including Minor ITC
Application Forms, from the relevant Member
Federation.
