Claymania for Preschoolers (Ages 2-7) Instructor: Jeremy South

Explore it all in clay! Step on it, smash it, roll it, squash it… Prints, painted works, and more will be explored. Create a plate, turtle, and vase! Give it a try! Great for low attention spans. We will focus on process not product. Dress for mess! Classes held at the Old Family Center by the playground. Creat many works of art! Every child will create a bowl an the pottery wheel.

Creative Movement (Ages 3-4) Instructor: Celina Jaffe

Does your child love to move? Come after school to make new friends while

exploring movements with Celina Ballerina. Young dancers will learn about

rhythm, movement quality, body awareness, balance, coordination, flexibil-

ity, and strength. In a setting with props, music, and different themes your

child will have a blast. Bring your tutu or favorite costume and get ready to

learn some French ballet vocabulary.

Dance Party (Ages 5-8) Instructor: Celina Jaffe

Do your kids love to make up dance choreography to their favorite movie

soundtracks or pop songs? Well now they will finally have choreography to

practice, perfect, and perform! Spend your Saturdays this summer learning

fun new moves of all different dance styles. We will incorporate jazz, musi-

cal theater, pop, and hip-hop into each dance and will perform at the park

ever other week!

My First Dance Class with Parent (Ages 2-5) Instructor: Jennifer Sams

This class is an excellent way to introduce your child to a structured dance class. Participants will learn and complete several fun movement songs. We will complete a warm-up, take a turn on the trampoline and balance beam, play movement to music, games, and much more. Participants will be introduced to hip hop, ballet, tap, and jazz all in one class. Please wear socks and tennis shoes to class, although we will sometimes remove them to go barefoot. Parents will be invited in to watch the last 10 minutes of the final class so participants can perform what they have learned.

Intermediate Ballet (Ages 4-6) Instructor: Karla Carter

This class introduces students to proper ballet terminology, the French lan-

guage, and various styles of music. Through barre work, floor barre, and

games that challenge students’ balance, posture, and imaginations, this class

builds a well-rounded and solid foundation for future studies in the beautiful

art of ballet.

Children love to climb, jump, roll, and flip their bodies. This class will get

them moving safely and correctly. We will spotlight the floor, beam, bars

and trampoline. Basic fundamentals of each event will be taught and prac-

ticed. There will be some down time with this class to accommodate safety

procedures. Children will have practice activities to complete during this

time. Terminology, poise, and body coordination will be developed.

Preschool Soccer (Ages 3-5) Instructor: Jennifer Sams

This class will help your child develop skills such as kicking, dribbling, block-

ing, and teamwork in a fun, safe, and non-competitive environment. Clas-

ses will consist of warm-up exercises, rules of the game, and drills and skills.

Children will also play a fun game to reinforce what they have learn.

Preschool Tee Ball (Ages 3-5) Instructor: Jennifer Sams

This outdoor class will help develop baseball skills in a fun, safe, and non-

competitive environment. Skills developed include batting, throwing, catch-

ing, and teamwork. Class is taught to each child’s development so some

will bat from tee and some will bat from coach’s pitch. Please bring a water

bottle and a mitt.

Science, technology, engineering and math are linked together in what is

called “STEM” curriculum. Each week will focus on a fun theme such as gar-

dening, camping, outer space, or teddy bears. We will complete several

STEM games and activities that correlate to the theme of the week. We will

even provide ideas for additional activities to complete with your child at

home as well as a weekly lesson plan to know what they learned in class.

This phonics driven program is an excellent way to develop and enhance early

childhood concepts such as numbers, colors, and shapes as well as early read-

ing skills. Each class kids will participate in activities involving creative (and

usually messy) arts and crafts, play games and make new friends. Please wear

This fresh and trendy program is gaining popularity quickly. Participants will

be taught the latest dance moves to popular age appropriate songs. We will

Creative Kids Talent Workshop Northside (Ages 6-16)

Instructor: Michael Ferruzza

Hollywood comes to Broad Ripple! The Creative Kids Talent Workshop pro-

gram offers acting classes and more. Your child will work on commercials,

films and videos, as well as learn to write, storyboard, and produce their

own. They will work on acting and presentation while bolstering their per-

sonality and self esteem. Most importantly, the classes are designed for

FUN! The classes are taught by professional actor/director Michael J. Ferruz-

za. He has trained and guided the career of working TV, film and commer-

Join us for our 21st Annual Touch A Truck Day where children have an oppor-

tunity to touch, feel, and climb into and out of each truck or car. Your child

could see fire trucks, police cars, tractors, rescue vehicles, and much more!

Each child needs to be accompanied by an adult. Remember to bring a cam-

era! GROUP SPECIAL: 1 or 2 children: $5 a child; 3-5 children the price is $15

Mommy and Baby Yoga (Ages 18+) Instructor: Mimi Sosa

Don’t miss this great experience for you and your baby. Designed for 6 weeks to 9 month old babies. For moms, this class focuses on warm-ups and yoga postures such as developing correct posture to combat stress on body and back caused by poor posture during feeding, lifting, and caring of your baby. During the class, you have the option of involving your baby in movements by holding him or her, or by having your baby close to you. The babies are also treated to a short session of gentle baby yoga and mas-sage. Broad Ripple Bark Park

Does your pooch need a little off the leash fun and exercise. Broad Ripple Park’s Canine Companion Zone is the place then. Simply bring in a copy of your dog’s shot records to the family center. Your dog (s) must be up to date on rabies, distemper, parvo, and bordetella. There are two types of passes available. Daily passes are valid for the day of purchase or consecu-tive days. The second type of pass is our annual pass which is valid from January to January.

Recycling

Broad Ripple Park has what you need to be green. We have recycling bins for cardboard, paper, and cans. Recycling is located in the back of the park by the tennis courts and is accessible only by the Evanston Street entrance. PLEASE DO NOT stack items outside of the bins.
