Welcome to the 2016 Green Tie Gala! Thank you for your generous support of Catholic Charities.

David Morton, our 2016 Green Tie Ambassador, has tirelessly served the Catholic community for decades. His service is particularly evident in his role as Principal of Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School. Parents and alumni agree David’s influence goes far beyond the academic curriculum, as each graduating class produces future stewards inspired to reach out to the poor.

New for this year’s gala is the Mosaic Award, given to an organization committed to helping Catholic Charities fulfill its mission of providing help and hope to all in the Catholic tradition of service. Smith and Kernke Funeral Directors have been longtime supporters of this mission, including a continued financial stewardship of tonight’s beneficiaries, Sanctuary Women’s Development Centers and Holy Family Home.

It’s been a privilege and an honor to work with such a dedicated committee and the staff at Catholic Charities. The generosity of all our sponsors, donors, friends, and the Catholic Charities board in making this event a success is truly overwhelming! Please accept our heartfelt thanks.

We would also like to thank all those who have worked on the Green Tie Gala before us. Following in the footsteps of so many people committed to the mission of helping homeless women and children has truly been a blessing. We would like to dedicate our efforts to our parents, Jim and Joan Fuller and Ray and Lou Ackerman. They were our first instructors in highlighting the importance of our duty to give back, especially to those in most need.

As you enjoy tonight’s Irish atmosphere with dinner, dancing, and spirits from Flanagan’s and Kelly’s Pubs, remember to bid high and often during all the auctions. Don’t forget our fabulous wine, scotch, jewelry, and restaurant pulls. Explore the opportunity to help Catholic Charities “Change A Life” to prevent homelessness in our community. Above all, we hope you enjoy tonight’s celebration of service to others!

With gratitude,

Susie & Doug Fuller2016 Green Tie Gala Chairs
