On December 14, 2015, was our “Advent Party” having dinner out. We went to the Shepherd’s Inn in Dandridge catered by The Taste of Dandridge. We had a delicious meal! We were honored by Father We picked a charity to donate our gifts to. This year it was the Animal Shelter in Jefferson City. We brought toys, dog & cat food, kitty litter and leashes. We had a great turn out and lots of items for to use for the pets.

Donna Dunn, Leadership Commission: Discussed Upcoming Events On Going Events:1) Please collect stamps and the fronts of religious cards. 2) Also a big project is giving CCW your old cell phones and cords to them. Kathy Marshall –Treasurer Reports our ending checkbook balance is $ 2,200.82. The Treasurer’s report was read and approval by all. Our seminarian, ALEX   HERNANDEZ , who we sponsor, was sent a Birthday Card with $50.00 in it.  Flags on the Hill collected approx. $1200 and more to come.

.

Sally Semmons- Secretary Report was in the agenda which we read before the meeting and will be talking about tonight. No meet minutes in January. All agreed.

Mia Ladner- Spiritual Commission- Communion and Confirmation Children- Prayer Partners Update- Added 3 RCIA students- February Valentine Cards made – signed and will be mailed.

OLD BUSINESS

Betty Jo Lavelle offered her services to assist Kathy Marshall to do the Flags on the Hill again this year.  We thanked her for doing that. It gets very cold out there in the winter breeze. The Flags get put out on every Patriot Holiday.  You can buy one for ($5.00) OR ($25.00) for 8 dates during the year. This is done in memory of a veteran or a loved one.  They have been up once already this year but will be up 7 more times. Show your support for others. This is our best money maker.   So let’s keep up the good work!

Patricia Morrill- Parish Council Rep. reported on our new dishwasher and sinks in Trinity Hall. They were donated to us after being refurbished. All we needed to pay for was the installation. 1) Please bring your Campbell soup labels in and put it in the wicker basket by the gift store. 2) We are collecting egg cartons

Also we need to recognize Sherri Nash. She cleaned the new dishwasher from top to bottom and it took her a very long time. Great job everyone!

Everyone: We need help cleaning the church. If you can help, even a little, please call: Patricia & Charles LUTZ at: Home: 865-475-6032 or Cell: 865-789-5454. Please give of your time and talents for GOD!!

NEW BUSINESS

The church’s defibulator uses pads when it is used. We found that the pads needed to be replaced. Father Patrick was kind enough to say that the church budget would replace these pads. If we really need to use the defibulator it will be kept in the room across from the upstairs bathroom in the church, which is usually locked except when church is going on.

Lu   Windham - Correspondence Secretary is sick right now. She sends out our thank you and get well cards. A Valentine card is being sent to her and Tom. We also discussed bringing meals to her once a week. They don’t eat very big meal so make it in smaller portions for them. Contact Patricia Morrill at 865-475-4217 who will coordinate this.

Anna Laarz – Brought to our attention that the Jefferson County Marching Band has to buy there own instruments to be in band. The band has grown to double the size it was and they do not have instruments for them. If there is anyone who has a reconditioned or good condition instrument they are not using please think about donating to a band member. (They need trumpets, trombones, flutes, saxophones, clarinets and tubas.) Contact: Anna Laarz at Home: 865-262-0475; Cell: 609-802-1956. Thanks for helping.
