MissionThe mission for the Carlsbad Grand Prix is to provide:

• a racing venue and energy similar to the Dana Point Grand Prix within 2 years time (i.e., a nationally ranked invitational event.)

• a family-friendly fun community event, with an expo hosting an exciting array of vendors and local business involvement similar to the Sea Otter Classic.

The event seeks to highlight Carlsbad as a livable city with a vibrant and cycling friendly infrastructure with services available for entire families.

Marketing ReachCycling is one of the highest participation sports in the United Sates with over 4.1 million annual participants. Cycling feeds the growing desire to stay younger and healthier throughout life.

Riding is a “green” sport. Cyclists are more affluent, better educated and more technically savvy than their counterparts. Criterium racing provides the excitement of NASCAR with closer access to racers and at more cost effective levels.

Sponsors receive direct access to over 600 race entrants and over 3000 spectators and walk-ins at CGP, beyond social, print, and radio media received by Tens of Thousands in the lead up to the event.

This is a sponsorship driven event; not a race or event entry fee driven event. The sponsorship dollars will cover operating cost on a non-profit basis with overages allocated to our designated beneficiaries.
