Families and individuals are self-sufficient.

Families are strong, healthy, and safe.

When Po Chun and her family arrived in the U.S., they needed help with housing, employment, and learning English. Po Chun’s daughter, Anna, has special needs, and in her first year at school, she was mistakenly placed in a general education classroom. BCNC staff guided Po Chun to access the services Anna needed, empowering her to advocate for her daughter. Today, Po Chun’s family is thriving, thanks to the support they received from BCNC.

our vision“With BCNC’s help, we have been able to get the health services my daughter needs.” —Po Chun, parent

In El Salvador, Elsa worked as an executive secretary. After arriving in the U.S., Elsa could only find work at Dunkin Donuts because of her limited English language skills. Elsa was determined to have the same job she held in her native country, so she turned to BCNC for support. Through the Job Training Program and English classes at BCNC, Elsa is closer to making her dreams a reality.

Children have opportunities for school success.

Neighborhoods are strong and cohesive.
