ABOUT THE BULLSThe 2007 and 2008 Tampa Bulls teams are made up of youth hockey players 9 and 8 years of age andunder, respectively. The 2007 or 2008 designation signifies their birth year, as hockey uses calendar yearto separate age classes. Their home ice is the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon where they train both on andoff the ice. The Ice Sports Forum is an amazing facility consisting of two NHL regulation ice rinkswhich are utilized for USA Hockey programs and figure skating events. The Ice Sports Forum is theONLY official training facility of the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bulls. In addition to beingthe practice facility of the Tampa Bay Lightning it has the largest youth recreational hockey program inthe Tampa Bay area and a nationally ranked adult recreational hockey program. The rink also hostsseveral large figure skating competitions throughout the year along with several large holiday youthhockey tournaments known to draw many local and out of state teams across every age level.

The Bulls train according to the American Development Model (ADM) using the USA Hockey CrossIce Program. The ADM is a nationwide model for successfully developing American hockey players. Itis a tool that will ensure every kid will have the same chance to succeed. www.admkids.com

The USA Hockey Cross-Ice program is based on a model of practicing and playing hockey across theice rather than along the full length of the ice. It has been shown that children who begin their hockeytraining in this environment have an outstanding hockey experience. Currently, the Bulls travel andcompete within the state of Florida. These teams will play approximately 25 regular season gamesbetween rinks in Clearwater, Estero, Ft. Myers, Oldsmar, Ellenton and Tampa. There are alsoopportunities for travel to Atlanta, Detroit and Las Vegas. We are very confident in their developmentand trust they will perform very well in the upcoming season.
