Results of Parent Consultations Parent consultations provided support for the following:
Goal 1 - Provide information on effective interventions to parents and school staff;
Goal 1 – Team with Casa Alegre to provide information and education to community;
Goal 2 – Provide customized interventions to be used in classrooms with particular students;
Goal 4 – Assist parents in understanding transitional needs of their children with autism;
Goal 6 - Provide parents with information that helps them advocate more effectively for their children’s needs.

Earth Day Camp Goal 1 - Provide training for parents on multi-sensory
techniques that can be used in the home setting, such as visual schedules & sensory processing activities.

Goal 2 - Review procedures for referrals, recommendations & outcomes SWAT PROCEDURES
District screener distributed to SAT at each school
Autism screener included as part of SAT packets
SAT chair delivers completed screener to SWAT member or Special Ed office
SWAT reviews screeners at each monthly meeting
SWAT member meets with teacher to provide recommendations for implementation in classroom
Recommendations will include an Intervention Tracking Spreadsheet with timeline for documentation of implementation & results
Follow-up by SWAT member with classroom staff

Goal 1: To provide information to the schools in our district, as well as the community, about the SWAT team, available services, and other pertinent information.
Goal 2: Review the procedures for documenting referrals, recommendations and outcomes to the autism team
Goal 3: Obtain feedback about procedures being used by regular education teachers, SPED teachers, EAs, and supporting staff about best practices to support positive behavior in children with autism.
Goal 5: Review 3 Year Plan – Year 3
Goal 4: Develop a plan to educate and support families of children with Autism.
Goal 5: Review three year plan to determine modifications and or additions to the plan.
Goal 6: Continue to offer teachers of children with autism information on best practices in order to serve their students to include assistance with assessment for STARS curriculum and support in implementation.
