Dr. Michelle Vachris Professor of Economics, Christopher Newport University Dr. Justin Isaacs Professor of Economics, Hampden-Sydney College Dr. Alice Kassens Professor of Economics, Roanoke College Seminar on Students are invited to apply for a weekend seminar on “Public Choice for the 21st Century.” During this unique event, students will discuss excerpts from the main guiding text, The Calculus of Consent by James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock, as well as supplementary readings. The discussion-based sessions will be led by the directing faculty: Dr. Michelle Vachris of Christopher Newport University, Dr. Justin Isaacs of Hampden-Sydney College, and Dr. Alice Kassens of Roanoke College. Priority Application Deadline: December 1, 2014 When: March 27- March 29, 2015 Where: Christopher Newport University (CNU) Who: Undergraduate students enrolled at CNU, Hampden-Sydney College, and Roanoke College Each participant will receive a tuition waiver, reading materials and meals. Travel allowance and accommodations will be provided for students traveling from Roanoke or Hampden-Sydney.
