BUILD A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

CleanRiver Clients

“We made a major purchase of two different CleanRiver units for our campus. In both locations, our newly renovated student center and our athletic ields, both aesthetics and function were of utmost importance. The CleanRiver TIM and Excel Slant top units ended up being perfect for the locations. They look great and are very functional. Thank you also for the great customer service through the process!”

“Hello! Just wanted to let you know that the bins arrived on Friday. Everyone (staff and our members) loves them! They look great! I’ve attached a few pictures for you! We’ve moved them all into place and they are being used! Thanks!”

2015 Sustainability Highlights

www.cleanriver.com Page | 3

2015 was an exciting year for CleanRiver. In September we celebrated our 25th anniversary by holding a zero waste party at our facility. We were thrilled to have many of our customers, local community members, industry peers and suppliers join us for the day. We had fun showing people around our manufacturing plant and answering their questions about our products and our company, and how both have changed over the last quarter of a century.

In 2015 we proudly partnered with many organizations who are leading sustainability initiatives in their industries such as Telsa, Costco, Home Depot, Tim Hortons, Wilfrid Laurier University, BC Government and Stanford University to name a few. We continue to invest in innovative product development that allows us to provide industry leading recycling programs that help our clients meet their sustainability goals.

Through sponsorship and participation in webinars and panel discussions, CleanRiver continues to support inluential game changers that are striving to change the way organizations manage their waste. These include NHL Green, US Zero Waste Business Council (USZWBC), Recycling Council of British Columbia (RCBC), the College and University Recycling Coalition (CURC), and The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

CleanRiver achieved the diversion rate goal of 97% for 2015. And with the help of the Green Team we strive to identify new opportunities for sustainability improvements within our operations.

We were pleased to see an increase in the number of schools signing up for Project Nestbox in 2015. The program is a valuable resource to teachers because it helps connect students to nature in a practical and interesting way. In 2015, 250 nestboxes were distributed to schools across North America, and we are happily on target to distribute 300 nest boxes in 2016.
