• Hetzel Street From Foster Avenue to Hamilton Avenue

• Jackson Circle From Mitchell Avenue to Cul-de-sac

• Hillcrest Avenue From Atherton Street to September Alley

PROJECT #3 PARKING LOT SEALCOATING

The Borough is sealcoating the parking lots

located at all of the parks within the Borough.

PROJECT #8 BELLAIRE AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION

• Reconstruction of Bellaire

Avenue from University Drive to

the dead end

• Reconstruction of the curb

• Replacement of storm pipes

• Road resurfacing

• Project Partners

• SCBWA is working with the Borough

to also install a new water line

• Columbia Gas will install a new gas

line prior to the project

STREETSCAPE & PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS

PROJECT #4 2015 STREETLIGHT REPLACEMENT

• Streetlights will be replaced with newer fixtures and poles

• Along West Beaver Avenue from H Alley to South Burrowes Street

• Primarily on the north side

• Some fixtures were replaced during the Palmerton construction

PROJECT #10 BEAVER/HIESTER PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS

• Goals:

• Encourage legal

pedestrian crossings

• Reduce conflicts due

to high pedestrian

volumes at CATA bus

stop

• Installation of an

accessible crosswalk

on the west side of

intersection

PROJECT #12 ADA RAMP CONSTRUCTION

• Each year the Borough

improves their American

Disability Act (ADA)

sidewalks

• 2015 locations include

Allen Street at the

Prospect and Hamilton

intersections

PROJECT #5 CLASTER METER REPLACEMENT

• Located between Your Building

Center (YBC) and Blaise

Alexander on Route 26

• Replacement of this pipe and

meter is in response to the

Inflow and Infiltration Project

• Goal:

• Increased meter accuracy

• Keep volumes averaged

RADIO PARK SINKHOLE

• Construct a reverse filter

• Stabilize the sinkhole

• To be completed by Borough crews

PROJECT #9 HIGH POINT PARK TRAIL PROJECT

• Construction of a quarter mile loop trail that links the parking lot to most of park facilities

• ADA compliant

• Spur trails proposed

• Expand access and visibility of baseball field, basketball court, playground and tennis court

PROJECT #13 SMITHFIELD PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
