Juliska TablewareTwo unabashed romantics, Capucine and David Gooding founded Juliska in 2001 with a collection of 40 historic Bohemian glasses – since then the company has blossomed to one of the leading home brands in America. Juliska is not about trends; it’s about loving life and living well. Juliska today is made up of an inspired group of individuals committed to providing beautiful things for the home and are inspired by the gathering of family and loved ones over food, passionate artisans, and centuries of European design.

At Vaillancourt Folk Art, we admire the similar story of formation, inspiration, and growth. Even more so, we are excited to be carrying this wonderful line of tableware in a variety of patterns and styles. Made in Portugal, these pieces are great for everyday or special occasions. Martha Stewart’s Weddings called it “The perfect place setting.” Whether you are a bride and groom looking to start a wedding registry or looking to update the look of your home, there are styles to fit every décor.

Simon Pearce GlassMade by hand in Vermont for over 40 years, Simon Pearce glass is treasured for its elegant silhouettes, distinctive clarity, and for the way each handmade piece carries its own story. His craft has been recognized in countless magazines over the years and has been available within the retail gallery throughout his career.

For spring 2015, we are proud to introduce new designs that are sure to become iconsin their own right, as well as extensions of

important lines like Cavendish and Nantucket.

Mary Lake Thompson LinensThe bright and enchanting graphics of Mary Lake Thompson’s towels add a punch of color to your kitchen and also make a great hostess gift for spring and the quintessential summer

get together.

Spicher & Co. Floor ClothsAnother new home décor item for us are vinyl floor cloths and framed art work by Pennsylvania’s Spicher & Company. Inspired by old floorcloths and vintage linoleum, these vinyl floor coverings add color and durability for use in the kitchen, dining room or covered outdoor space.

Spring AwakeningAfter a very long winter we are all looking forward to the weather and

events of the spring and summer, weddings, graduations, Mother’s

Day and the chance to add some new color and design to our homes.

It’s no surprise that when it comes to Christmas, Vaillancourt Folk Art

is at the top of people’s minds; but, for the rest of the year, we have a

lot in store that will help you celebrate all four seasons. This year, in

particular, we are excited to be offering a few new lines—and also a

few new products of existing lines—that will help make your house a

home, celebrate an event, or even inspire you for the warmer months

to come. Please visit our beautifully decorated retail gallery in Sutton,

MA where you will see some of the home décor that is sure to put

Vaillancourt Folk Art to the top of your mind this spring and summer.

We hope to see you soon! Gary, Judi, & Luke .

LuckIn the spring, Santa trades in his traditional red coat for his white coat with green shamrocks. Once St. Valentine’s Day has passed he is ready to celebrate one of his other favorite holidays: St. Patrick’s Day. In a simple white coat, this Chalkware Irish Santa is holding a tree of shamrocks and clovers. In addition, you can see that he is sharing his good fortune and luck with you as we wish away the cold days of winter and look forward to the cool days of spring. This Santa is the perfect gift for that special Irish lass or lad!

VFA Nr. 15017, $17000

PeepSpring is about new beginnings. Once the cold wintry mix has finally melted away, we are reminded of the warmer days to come. For 2015, after a long and cold winter, the spring Santa is that reminder. Wearing yellows and greens, this Santa is holding a sack with a ducky sitting atop—the sack itself is decorated with the colors of the retreating winter skies making way for the flowers that are the first signs of the new season. Continuing on his coat, you can see different flowers and plants growing while a tiny rabbit sits by his side—Santa’s assistant for the delivery of toys (and eggs) this spring holiday.

VFA Nr. 15018, $19000

LoveShowing someone that you love them isn’t hard when it comes to Vaillancourt Folk Art’s Love Series, in particular, the newly introduced 2015 “Heart Santa.” This Santa is wearing his pink and grey outfit embellished with red and white hearts. Painted to look like antique patching, the “Be Mine” Santa is seen on the front of his hat as he is carefully delivering hearts to those who have a secret admirer. When thinking of those occasions that you need to say, “I Love You,” think like the Heart Santa.

VFA Nr. 15016, $16000

If you’re looking for Love and Luck, you’ll be pleased with the options here in our retail gallery.

Bus & Group ToursAlthough we are always happy to give a brief tour, we encourage you to book a full length tour so that you and your party can see everything. Since opening, we have accommodated several groups, private parties, and clubs for an evening’s event after a tour. Whether a small group or bus tour, we can accommodate your group for a Studio tour.

The tours include a behind the scenes journey of what makes Vaillancourt chalkware such a fine collectible: starting with the pouring technique that still uses moulds dating back to the 19th century when a gift of chocolate was a special treasure and every small European village had a chocolate shop, to the hand painting, antiquing, and signing of each piece.

Also included is a walk through the Vaillancourt Folk Art’s Museum which displays one of the largest collections of antique confectionery moulds and a history of gift giver folklore from various countries. Your tour is concluded in the relaxed, contemporary, atmosphere of the new Gallery at Vaillancourt Folk Art where our chalkware, hand-blown Polish glass ornaments, and English Creamware are available to purchase to complete your experience.
