Charitable Contributions The net proceeds from this year’s tournament will go to benefit the Sacramento Regional Tennis Foundation:
Sacramento Regional Tennis Foundation Sacramento Regional Tennis Foundation was formed to foster and
advance the sport of tennis among youth in the Sacramento region
as part of a national effort to eradicate childhood obesity in the
United States and ensure young people get a healthy start in life.
The Sacramento Regional Tennis Foundation was formed in
January 2011 and has the mission is to introduce the great sport of
tennis to every student and give every child in the region at least
one opportunity to try playing tennis and to create tennis pathways
that encourage children to pursue the “game for a lifetime.” The
programs we have in place for this are the Youth Tennis League,
10 and Under Tennis Tournaments, Junior Traveling Team Tennis,
and the Schools Program.
Since our inception we have successfully introduced the game to
more than 9,000 student athletes. From beginning players to
college champions… the Sacramento Regional Tennis Foundation supports tennis players. Tennis is one of the only non-contact, competitive sports
available to athletes. It is safe and fun!
Learning to play the game teaches a unique combination of strategy, technique, sportsmanship, skill and athleticism. Once learned, it can be enjoyed
for a life-time. Concerned about the high cost of learning to play tennis? The Sacramento Regional Tennis Foundation provides participants with
funding and low cost alternatives to learning the game.
