DEAR PLAYER,Welcome to the 29th season of the San Diego Polo Club. Barns open in early April, and we are looking forward to welcoming both new and returning local and international players. Sunday Polo kicks off on Opening Day, May 31, where teams will compete in front of over 3,000 enthusiastic polo fans—one of the nation’s best polo kickoff events. We are excited to offer both 0-2 Goal (4 chukker) and 6-8 Goal (6 chukker) Tournament Play for the summer season, as well as Fall Polo through October.

The San Diego Polo Club offers membership levels that appeal to any player whether you want to play in the arena, are ready to take your first gallop down a grass field, want to play club polo or are looking to put in your own team for the 0-2 Goal or 6-8 Goal—we offer something for everyone. Don’t forget to take advantage of our early discount on your fees if they are paid on or before February 20th. All matches are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday mornings with the 6-8 Goal matches being featured in front of our Sunday Polo crowd.

If you are thinking of visiting San Diego from out of town this year and want to play polo during your visit, let us put together a visiting player package that includes tournament participation and seats for Sunday polo. The club has close ties with the best resorts in San Diego such as The Grand Del Mar and the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, and can arrange accommodations for you and your family. Our USPA tournaments in September offer a fantastic opportunity to experience great polo, perfect weather, and a chance to partake in the many family (and grown-up) attractions in San Diego.

THE CLUBBeautifully situated in one of the most exclusive and affluent communities in Southern California and bordering the Pacific Ocean, The San Diego Polo Club offers stunning views and a loyal polo community like no other. We warmly welcome over 25,000 visitors each year and with record breaking attendance, we have earned the reputation as “The Leading Polo Destination In All Of California.”

THE POLOThe San Diego Polo Club is beautifully situated on 80 acres of land in Rancho Santa Fe, offering five world-class class polo fields, including an exercise track, riding trails, a clubhouse and bar, a polo training school, and an outdoor lighted arena. The San Diego Club has one of the longest playing seasons in the country running from May through October. This year, we are happy to welcome back the 2-Goal League, as well as 8-Goal Tournament Polo. Players may form their own teams or request the assistance of our polo manager to put their team together. Things heat up in the second half of the season with more competitive tournaments, including two USPA sanctioned tournaments. We offer Sunday Polo open to the public for 15 weeks.

THE SCENEThe San Diego Polo Club’s social scene is rated one of the top in the country. With an average of 1,000 fans each week, and Opening Day exceeding 3,000, every Sunday is an enjoyable afternoon with family, friends, and San Diego’s best. We partner with various charities and brands to create memorable events that give back to our community and highlight the wonderful sport of polo.
