I can’t believe this year is half over. That just means we still have so much to look forward to in the coming months so our brushes will be plenty busy!! We have Amy’s seminar and Hilary’s demonstration on texture paste and my Nancy Lenski fabric Santa in Sep-tember and our ornament exchange program as well as our
25th Anniversary Tea/Art show in which we are painting with Rox-anne Puchalski on Saturday and a
half day program with one of our members on Sunday morning with the tea in the afternoon.
This is also the time to start thinking about volunteer-
ing to be on the board for next
year. We will need a President and Treasurer and a Vice President of Programs so if you would like to fulfill one of these positions please let me know. I look forward to seeing you in the near future but in the mean time keep those brushes busy!!!
Joyce GutierrezSeminarsAmy Mogish, one of our members, is excited to be teaching two pieces at our upcoming seminar, August 28 -30, 2015. The first piece se-lected at a prior general meeting is “Halloween Nite”. This piece will
be taught Friday and Saturday and is a mixture of colored pencils and acrylics. Class fee is $80 plus $5 for paper board. Then on Sunday, we will be painting “Simple Goodness” with Amy. The class fee is $40 and
you provide your own sur-face that fits the pattern of 9”T x 10”W.The registration form is included within the news-letter. Please note that Amy will be ordering colored pencils and prepping the paper for the 2 day project, so the deadline to sign up
for this project is July 20. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to get the answer.

Paint InsGreetings! Unfortunately, the June 2015 Paint-In had to be cancelled due to lack of registrants. Hopefully, there will be no cancel-lations next year! Please help the program stay on our calendar and consider teaching and/or attending. Is there a de-sign you recently com-pleted and absolutely fell in love with? Maybe others will love it, too!
Submit your ideas by October 1st to be considered for next year. Remember to get permission from the original designer before submitting your idea. I look forward to all of your submissions! Contact me at [email protected]. Thanks!

Memory BoxesThe Memory Box group received an email, the week of June 15, requesting boxes for a hospital in PA. I asked for information to learn which hospital and learned that this hospital is in DuBois, PA. With the approval of our board, I shipped 6 Memory Boxes to Penn Highlands Healthcare in DuBois, PA – it was just too far for me to drive the boxes to the hospital, in this case.Should we find ourselves in the position of shipping more boxes, we can submit our receipts to the MemoryBoxes.org for reimburse-ment. In this case, the shipping costs were donated, so there is no need to submit for reimbursement! Please continue to paint Memory
Boxes as we move through the year – you know that they are appreciated by those who receive them. We know, too, that the boxes are also appreciated by the hospital staff members who are trying to help those dealing with this kind of a loss.

HAPPY
Our 25th Anniversary Tea/Art show is coming along nicely. We have sent the deposit and contract for Roxanne Puchalski and she has sent us projects in which to choose from. By the time you receive this newsletter the committee will have chosen the project and we will let you know at the July meeting what that project will be.We will paint with Roxanne on Sat-urday and one of our members will
teach a short project on Sunday morning and then in the afternoon will be our tea and art show. We will need your RSVP’s in order to make proper counts on food and surprises so keep that in mind as well.
I look forward to seeing you all at the 25th Anni-versary Tea/Art Show!!

Ways and Means
Treasurer’s ReportHello, hope your all enjoying the “warm” weather. Our July meeting will be great, you will stay cool and learn a new tech-nique with a new medium ( at least it’s new to me.) Also, Ways and Means will be having a “clearance sale,” pattern packets, DVDs, surfaces, real bargains all at great prices. We will also be having our regular 50/50 raffle, so I’m hoping you’ll all come out, support your chapter and enjoy the company of fellow painters. Hope to see you July 20th.

2015 Ways and Means
We are painting a Nancy Lenski fabric Santa in September and I need you to e-mail me if you will be there or let me know before the July meeting so that I can bring your materials because there will be
homework that needs to be done before the Sep-tember meeting. There will be no cost to the mem-ber, so I need an accurate count for the wood cutter and to make sure I have enough fabric.

Everyone drew on own their sketching talents (pun intended) at the May meeting
thanks to the guidance of
Pat Meyers.
Pat brought a great selection of examples of her work for everyone to see and gain a little more inspiration. We know we’ll never look at an egg the same after this.
