HISTORY

wewood’s concept was born in 2010, as a part of the research and development office in móveis carlos alfredo, a company with a strong know-how in manufacture and export solid wood furniture since 1964.

wewood’s name “we are wood” originates from the company’s main asset: the production of solid wood furniture, combined with a tribute to the portuguese craftsmen “portuguese joinery”.

after two years of developing and maturing the concept wewood was launched for the first time in the international market in january of 2012 at maison & objet paris, one of the world’s most renowned events for furniture and decoration.

since this first appearance we have consistently participated in the most important shows in europe, asia and north america, always to enjoy great critical acclaim from visitors, clients and journalists.
