the challenge Ward Associates (Consulting) Ltd is a large York based multidisciplinary design practice, consisting of interior designers, civil & structural engineers, environmental consultants, town planning consultants, landscape architects, project management, architects and creatives (ignite).
Our challenge was to rebrand the company and bring all the sales and marketing material up to date.
our Solution Ward Consulting is a multidisciplinary design practice with 3 offices across the UK. With so many design teams under one roof (technically three!) we wanted to give each discipline their own identity and marketing material.
when rebranding we chose a soft logo with a big ‘w’ placed at the front to resemble a brush stroke and to link all the disciplines together. Each discipline has been associated with it’s own colour palette and imagery. The company is very visual and therefore we factored this in to the branding to ensure a consistently high level of photography and ‘on-brand’ images are used throughout any piece of literature. The basis of all design work here uses the ‘polygon’ shape, so it made perfect sense to incorporate this throughout the brand.
the reSultSthe new ward consulting branding has been warmly received by staff, clients and suppliers alike.

the challenge The Coral Magson swim school is the most established swim school in York, with a reputation for high quality swimming lessons, small classes and excellent instruction. We were challenged to create a website that showed off the swim schools services, heritage and reputation.
our Solution going into this project we already had an idea of what we wanted the website to look like. After our competitor analysis and initial mock ups we worked closely with the client to produce this website. we wanted to use great imagery to reflect the swim schools values. while the education is the number one focus of the school it was clear that the children who attend also have a great time.
the reSultSwe were able to produce a great lookng responsive website that was miles above the compeititon. Giving the swim school a more professional look and feel.

the challenge “Our recruitment leaflet should demonstrate the benefits to businesses of joining Visit York members and of working with us. This leaflet should through visual graphics bring to life all of the benefits of joining as a member.”
our Solution For our Visit York Members leaflet we wanted to provide a bright and engaging design that stood out from their other print work. Visit York currently have a great colour palette to work with so that gave us a great start.
we created infographics that related to and enhanced the content as we didn’t want to distract readers too much from the reading the important points. we found that the layout of the page naturally draws the eye around to read all of the content too.
the reSultSwe produced a bi-fold and a4 version of the leaflet.
One targeted at existing members and the other to the general public. Simple icons and highlighted text are what created our inforgraphics. placed in a locigal order the eye is drawn in then around the to read all the points.

the challenge After building their branding, print design & website we set out to get thier high-end, luxury lifestyle product the right exposure on a national level, increasing brand awareness, sales and general enquiries at the same time.
our Solution In May 2013, we set to work on our first ever digital marketing campaign to gain maximum exposure for the high-end ‘garden rooms’, manufactured by West Yorkshire company, Adaptapods.
The campaign involved a series of digital advertising, e-marketing, social media and persistence to get things off the ground. After researching various publications and blogs, we were able to place adaptapods in a great position, alongside market leaders and instantly generating increased hits to the website and sales enquiries.
Within the final month of our three month campaign we received a call from the producer of ITV’s Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh, saying he would like to feature an Adaptapod garden room on the show. As a direct result of showcasing the product in the right spotlights, we were able to take the marketing to a new level…
the reSultSA garden room was kindly donated by Adaptapods to ITV and 5.5 million viewers witnessed the tv debut of the garden room being unveiled to an unsuspecting family, on national, prime time TV.
The results from this exposure were simply astonishing, as well as having rolling credits and a write up on the ITV programme blog, Adaptapods continue to witness a huge number of visits, sales and brochure downloads from the campaign.
