Practice Information•Practice groups will be created to allow for more productive practice time

•Please commit to 3 practices a week

•Bring goggles and towel

•All swimmers 10-under require adult supervision at all times

•For your safety and the protection of the board and club, the baby pool is closed during practices until the pool opens. No parents or siblings allowed in baby pool

•Swimmers must swim in a minimum of two meets to be eligible for Qualifications/Championships

•Officials are trained by LSA

•Division 1 teams consist of many swimmers, therefore, we need to rotate swimmers in their respective events.

Parent Commitment

•Per the GOCC Swim Team Handbook, there is a $75.00 FINE for any volunteer that fails to show up and/or find a replacement for their assigned volunteer position.

•Swimmers will not be able to participate in any GOCC swim team function until the fine is paid in full.

•This penalty for volunteers who do not fulfill their obligation will be fully ENFORCED.

Heat Sheet

•4 competitive strokes•Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, Breaststroke

•6-under age group – Freestyle, Backstroke only

•3 relays – Medley, Freestyle, All-Ages

•Disqualifications• Refrain from approaching meet officials and

coaches on pool deck. Find a Board member and communicate the issue.

Strokes and Officiating

•Snacks and Drinks for your child

•Money for concessions

•Extra towels and clothes

•Games, Paper, Cards , etc… for your swimmer

•Chairs for yourself

•Sunscreen

•Sharpie to write events on your swimmers arms

•No personal tents allowed on pool deck

•No alcohol permitted within pool gates or on pool deck. – Per LSA, grounds for team disqualification
