MINISTER’S MESSAGE - 2015

Greetings in the name of Christ! What a tremendous year 2015 has been for Bethel-St. Andrew’s United Church. Literally years of praying and planning have gone into the amalgamation of the Bethel and St. Andrew’s congregations on 1 July. Rarely have I seen such a spirit of cooperation and collaboration in bringing our united community of faith into reality. Both congregations worked tirelessly to see this come to fruition. Transition Team Ministry

To date, the Transition Team has held 19 sessions with more to come as it

completes its mandate 30 June 2016. Bryan Giffin, Pastoral Relations representative, has consistently provided sage counsel as the Team members worked their way through a myriad of issues relating to amalgamation. This year two additional Conversation Cafes gave opportunity for members and adherents to offer their input into the many decisions relating to amalgamation and future ministry. Other events included the Heritage Highway where we broke bread together while reflecting on Bethel’s many decades of faithful service to the Kinburn community. We also had an enjoyable day of fun and learning with the Kraybill Conflict Style Inventory Workshop. We were also pleased to have Louis Guay Lay leadership spent countless hours with the Personal Property of both Bethel and St. Andrew’s churches inclusive of placing the many plaques, artifacts and liturgical accouterments within the sanctuary and Baldwin Hall. As well, the Bethel Trustees continue to care for the Real Property of the Bethel property with the hopes of a future sale. The Stewards have been busy with the many decisions regarding care of the building now the home of both congregations. Music Ministry

Tobi du Moulin has given over and above this past year in her development of the music ministry at Bethel-St. Andrew’s. The joint Music Cantata with the choir of St. Paul’s United Church in Carp in December was a great success, both musically and in terms of greater collaboration with the United Churches of West Carleton. The Sept Fun / Family Day organized by Tobi saw more than 120 individuals, a number of whom had not visited our church before. Messy Church saw new young families participating resulting in sanctuary Christmas decorations created by the children. Who could forget Rick Leben’s outstanding and foot thumping ‘Up the Line’ afternoon of Blue Grass Music offered to West Carleton by the outstanding musicians from the Ottawa Valley region. A great turnout with a remarkable sum of money donated to the ongoing ministry of Bethel-St. Andrew’s. Enhanced as well has been our worship experience due to our technological advances, as the visual has aided in our connection with the spiritual. Thanks goes to our faithful technicians and to Angie for the Power Points each week.

MINISTER’S MESSAGE - 2015

Ministry Initiatives: Long-standing and the Latest

The United Church Women (UCW), now combined, has remained very active with a number of fundraisers during the course of the year. The ladies continue to make the best pies and preserves in West Carleton. Bethel-St. Andrew’s continually benefits from financial contributions from this viable women’s ministry in our midst. A number of new ministries were initiated during the fall of 2015 that will continue on into the future. Significant among these initiatives has been the Men’s Ministry launched in late Nov only to see it blossom into an ecumenical endeavour with United, Anglican and Roman Catholic men coming together for fellowship and outreach. BSA and the wider FH community has yet to realize the benefits that will flow from this collaborative effort from our men. As well, Julie McKercher, of the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC), briefed the Official Board this past fall regarding expanding their services into the Fitzroy Harbour area. Baldwin Hall will factor significantly in seeing this come to reality, an endeavour that the Board unanimously supported. The first of several community consultations get underway in early March 2016—Baldwin Hall being the venue. This month the Rural Ontario Institute (ROI), via its Measuring Rural Community Vitality Program, selected West Carleton as one of eight project sites in the province for the development of extensive community services for its rural constituents. This bodes well for the role BSA will play in aiding the Fitzroy-Kinburn community at large as WOCRC extends its services deeper into West Carleton…a salient example of relevancy in ministry.

Recognizing the need for greater lay participation in the pastoral care of our people, this fall BSA Session committed to, not only taking Pastoral Care Training offered by the Ottawa Pastoral Care Training Program out of Ottawa, but opening the training up to other local churches—made possible by the St. Columba Fund. Local churches are responding positively. As a concerned community of faith for the world at large, our community of faith remains open to opportunities that may exist in assisting others in sponsoring a Syrian refugee family, an initiative that began in Sept 2015. As your Transition Minister during the past year I have seen God at work in our midst. Much has been accomplished in a short span of time. The future holds much for Bethel-St. Andrew’s as opportunities present relevant avenues of ministry to edify the faithful and expand our Christian influence into the wider community. Blessings, Rev. Steve Moore Ph.D.

6 Fitzroy Pastoral Charge Annual Report 2015

This year has been busy and productive as we move through the amalgamation process. I am certainly pleased with our progress but recognize that there is still much to be done to complete our journey. Significant events led by the Transition Team were approval of the amalgamation at the Bethel Congregational meeting on May 25, 2015, Official Board approval on June 1, 2015 followed by Ottawa Presbytery approval on June 8, 2015. The melding of the Bethel and St. Andrew’s personal properties into our new Bethel-St. Andrew’s United Church was done with respect and grace. In the spring the Bethel cross will be installed on the outside front of our new church. In April, Rev. Steve introduced a number of us to the Kraybill Conflict Style Inventory in a one day course with practical help for dealing with differences. This was a special project that he selected within his transition training. Very significant changes in the organization of our national church are expected in the near future. Changes such as the merger of the Conference level and Presbytery level into the single Regional level will impact our congregations to be called “Communities of Faith”. This is driven by the goal to live within our means throughout the United Church. Our Presbytery will look different including changed borders as they re-organize to do more of their own work with less. With the amalgamation, Mike Grohn is taking this opportunity to retire as our Charge treasurer after a mere 18 years. Thank you so much Mike for your enormous contribution. Our new financial team is now working into their tasks. We welcome Rob Roesler as our new Treasurer. Following on from a recommendation within the Transition Team a new Men’s group began this fall. Meetings are monthly on a Saturday starting with breakfast and fellowship and

followed by a speaker. Within the group there is an awareness that we need to reach out to our West Carleton community. Men from our church, St. George’s Anglican, St. Michael’s Roman Catholic and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian are enjoying time together under the capable leadership of Walter Veenstra and Jim Simpson. Stay tuned for their February Chili Dinner for the local Food Bank. On March 2, 2016 in Baldwin Hall we will be hosting community consultations by the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre. Kudos to our Session for their work this year and the Pastoral Care training they will be taking and offering to our congregation in the new year. A thank you must also be extended to the St. Columba Ministry fund committee for financially supporting this worthwhile project. The Stewards committee is also to be commended for their efforts to implement more technology in our church services. Imagine, a TV for our choir! Yes!! And our fabulous choir director. This has been a banner year for Tobi. First, the Fun Day in September with even the local fire station and the Ottawa police represented. This was followed by Messy Church on a November Saturday for young families. And then Tobi organized the joint Christmas Cantata with the Carp St. Paul United Church choir and pianist, Ryan. We should all be very proud of her accomplishments. Well done. A big thank you goes to Angie Shepherd for keeping our office running smoothly with all the many tasks from the preparation of the bulletins, creating the PowerPoint slides for our church services to the statistics for Church head office. A heartfelt thank you goes to our dedicated Transition Team of Elly, Mary, Donna, Jorgen, Jim, Cathy, Bryan from Presbytery and Rev. Steve for their guidance

and work on Conversation Cafes and Transition reports. To the many others who have quietly worked for our Church that I should have mentioned, a thank you to you. Last but not least, we are most appreciative of the pastoral leadership and transitional skills provided to our congregation by Rev. Steve. If we work together we can accomplish so much more. Together, we will continue our journey, trusting that God who has blessed us so richly will guide us still. Respectfully submitted Ken Stewart, Official Board Chair

8 Fitzroy Pastoral Charge Annual Report 2015

The Transition Team was formed to guide the congregations of Bethel and St. Andrew’s United Church through a process of amalgamation.

During this year an exhausting amount of tasks were accomplished in order to satisfy the amalgamation date goal of July 1, 2015. Some of those tasks were:

♦ merging Bethel and St. Andrew’s membership rolls into one main congregational membership roll

♦ naming the new congregation

♦ decisions regarding real property

♦ disposal of personal property and financial arrangements for the new congregation (bank accounts, payroll, accounts payable, signing officers, envelope numbers).

These tasks were completed seamlessly and enabled our new congregation of Bethel-St. Andrew’s United Church to worship together starting July 1, 2015. Although we worshiped as one congregation throughout the summer months, our official amalgamation service was held on September 13, 2015.

The closing of Bethel United Church in Kinburn was held on May 24, 2015. This service

celebrated the 90 years of worship history within the Kinburn Community.

In addition to Rev. Steve Moore, five former ministers from the Fitzroy Pastoral Charge were in attendance to take part in that historic event.

A Conversation Café was held with the congregation on October 25, 2015 to discuss some of the more delicate issues that we were still facing. We were pleased with the outcome of the discussions and the fact that congregants felt comfortable discussing issues of concern.

The goals of the Transition Team are being realized as we develop our new congregation. We have strived to do more community outreach. For example, we have established a Men’s Ministry Group which meets monthly; guest speakers (Louis Guay) are providing informative stories of their lives; and a ‘Messy Church’ day was enjoyed by families. All of these activities involve other Churches and families within our community. Our team is looking at establishing more communication within the Church and establishing Pastoral Care resources for our congregants.

Our work as a Transition Team will continue on in 2016 with the final tasks scheduled to be completed by June.

Reverend Steve has been a strong force behind our Transition Team and he is to be commended for his tireless direction in guiding the Team through the amalgamation process.

Respectfully Submitted by, Elly Leben, Transition Team Chair

PRESBYTERY REPORT - 2015

The year began with a brand new Presbytery Minister,

the Rev. David Sherwin. David Lee continued to give

us wise and steady leadership as Presbytery Chair. A

new executive structure was implemented with fewer

members.

2015 divided in two parts – before and after General

Council 42. In our January to May meetings, we

continued to learn about and offer feedback on the

Comprehensive Review reports.

We worked on Proposals to Conference that reflected

our suggestions and concerns about the Review’s

recommendations. We knew that the United Church

wished to face the future, changing to meet present

and future realities; we hoped to make these changes

thoughtful and effective.

As well as General Council concerns, our meetings

dealt with the new compensation model for Ministers;

the Truth and Reconciliation Commission; how our

churches and people could become more proactive

in dealing with climate change; and being introduced

to the new graduating class of Licensed Lay worship

Leaders.

Bethel-St. Andrew’s hosted the day long June meeting

of the Ottawa Presbytery Executive. Our UCW

provided a delicious lunch, very pleasantly served. At

this meeting, Our Transition team presented a report

and our Amalgamation was recognized, effective July

1, 2015.

I attended the Montreal and Ottawa Conference

Annual General Meeting, May 29-30 at St. Anne de

Bellevue, and took part in the Walk for Reconciliation

to mark the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation

on May 31.

The 42nd General Council of the United Church of

Canada took place from August 8-15 in Corner Brook,

Newfoundland and Labrador.

In the second half of the year we knew that GC 42

had voted to move to a new structure: Communities of

Faith; Regional Body; National Body. Our present

system has four courts – the Pastoral Charge, the

Presbytery, the Conference, the General Council.

In the United Church, these kinds of changes must also

be voted on by Presbyteries and Pastoral Charges.

Our General Council Executive and Office are working

to develop positions and questions that will be sent out

to the wider church for study and eventually a vote.

Ottawa Presbytery has volunteered to be a pilot

project for the new Regional structure. We heard

reports from the commissioners we had elected to

attend GC 42. They loved Newfoundland!

In September, the Rev. Ann Montgomery, minister of St.

Andrew’s Metcalfe, took office as Presbytery Chair. At

our meetings, we have learned about a new

Stewardship program, “Called to Be the Church”;

about the needs of refugees and the Multi-faith

Housing Initiative; we have also had a visit from the

President of the M&O Conference, the Rev. Mead

Baldwin.

The Rev. Carolyn Insley introduced us to a new

Presbytery prayer ministry and to Spirit Moments. We

always begin our time together with a meal and

worship and then faithfully conduct the business of

Presbytery including Pastoral Relations, Youth Ministry,

finances and many other areas.

Respectfully Submitted

Cathy Stewart, Presbytery Representative

Anita D’Arcy Donna Laughlin Phyllis Douglas Committee members met in May to welcome

Phyllis and initiate her into the duties of the

committee.

Personnel

Reverend Dr. Steve Moore has continued as our

transitional Minister and we congratulate him

on his excellent guidance and leadership in

making the amalgamation as smooth as possible.

His sermons challenge us to try and accept a

larger view of the world and the problems

therein. His visitations to the sick and bereaved

have brought comfort and have been appreciated

by all concerned.

In Steve’s absences (July 13-August 3),

pulpit duties were covered by:

Cathy Stewart

Major Harry Crawford

Jack Lougheed

Dana Ducette

Musical Director

Tobi Dumoulin has a new contract starting

October 25, 2015-Decemeber 31, 2016. She

continues to inspire and challenge us with her

boundless energy, enthusiasm and musical

ability. She has worked throughout the year

with the choir and somehow managed once again

to direct a successful Christmas cantata;

bringing together St. Paul’s United choir and

Bethel-St. Andrew’s.

Tobi introduced us to “Messy Christmas.” She

and her friends organized a wonderful day of

crafts for children and parents making

Christmas decorations for the Sanctuary.

Office Administrator

Angie Shepherd has provided efficient services

throughout the year producing the weekly

bulletins and information on upcoming events.

She also spends extra time each week working

on the PowerPoint presentation. Hopefully,

presentations will eventually replace the

bulletins. Angie’s contract ends June 30, 2016.

At that point, she would prefer to work without a

yearly contract (rather month to month).

CHARGE TREASURER’S REPORT -

January 1- June 30 2015

Financial transactions by the FPC treasurer were routine for the given period as St. Andrews

and Bethel made their expected monthly contributions. No contributions were made from

reserves (Manse Fund, St. Columba Fund, Trustees) but the remainder of the Contingency fund

GIC was cashed out in the amount $5,114 and an HST refund of $6,309 was received from the

government. A complete financial summary report is available upon request.

Fitzroy Pastoral Charge ceased to exist on July 1 so the FPC treasurer’s role was ended. While

the FPC general bank account had a balance of $302 on July 1, the Payroll Account

(accessed by the ADP payroll company) had a balance of $14,505 and that was used to

cover the July and August payroll ($7,200 per month approximately). At that point the FPC

general account was closed and the Payroll account was passed to the Bethel-St. Andrews

treasurer.

My thanks go to the many devoted workers and contributors to the Charge financials and

other activities that made this job interesting and satisfying for me. God bless you.

REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL BOARD of Bethel-St. Andrew’s December 31, 2015

Members: Mike Grohn, George Laughlin, Sue Montgomery, Jack Shaw, Ken Stewart (Chair)

The sole objective of the committee is to administer the assets of the Ministry Housing Allowance Fund in trust for the St Andrew’s Board of Trustees.

Initial investment (GICs)

”Rolling fund” approach was implemented, where one of three matures every year to be reinvested at the current interest rate. This approach minimizes the impact of sharp drops in interest rate and optimizes growth over the long term. The three investments made were:

Date ResMor Trust Co Laurentian Bank Can. Tire Bank Total

16-Jul-2009 $67,612 (1.65%) $67,000 (2.05%) $67,000 (2.75%) $201,612

18 Fitzroy Pastoral Charge Annual Report 2015

The Men's Ministry Group came into existence

following discussions during the amalgamation

process. Two topics were focused around

community outreach and the formation of a

men's group. To explore possibilities, Rev. Moore

met with Ken Stewart, Chair of the Official

Board, Jim Simpson, Transition Team Member,

and Walter Veenstra, a new resident in the area

who has experience forming Men' Groups in

other areas where he has lived.

From this discussion, it was determined to call a

breakfast meeting of men from the area and

local churches. This first meeting was held in

Baldwin Hall on Oct. 3 with fourteen men

attending. We discussed the importance of this

group being open to all men within our

communities, the importance of fellowship and

helping according to the local needs of

individuals and community.

The next meeting was held on Nov. 14 with

Reverends Jack Laugheed and Steve Moore

talking personally about their war experiences.

Already, we're looking forward to our community involvement in 2016 with plans to hold a Chili Dinner in support of the local food bank and invite local speakers on various topics. Besides men from Bethel-St. Andrew's, we have men attending, from St. George's Anglican, St. Michael's Roman Catholic and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Kinburn as well as some with no Church affiliation. All are welcome ! By the way, breakfasts are very good and so is the fellowship as is the enthusiasm! Respectfully Submitted by Walter Veenstra , Ken Stewart and Jim Simpson

19 Fitzroy Pastoral Charge Annual Report 2015

2015 has been a busy year for both Bethel and

St. Andrews stewards. We continued to hold

joint meetings until amalgamation which took

place 1 July 2015.

Jim Simpson resigned as co-chair but will

continue as a steward. Bob Pekarchuk also

resigned in the fall 2015 as a steward as well as

co-organizer of the Carp Fair. We thank Bob for

all the years of dedication to Bethel and to the

success of the Carp Fair.

David Hayley continued as Chair with Donna

Laughlin acting as co-chair until amalgamation.

Rob Roesler was elected as Treasurer at our last

Congregational meeting on Aug. 30. Mike

Grohn and Cathy Stewart are available as

advisors. Susan Grohn continued as Secretary

with Kim Russell ably assisting when needed.

The transition process required inventories of

both churches. This involved the UCW as well as

the stewards and recommendations on

property real and personal was made.

The Bethel building has been listed for sale with

John Roberts of ReMax by the Bethel Trustees.

The stewards are also looking at the greater

needs of the community and how we can assist

and the types of ongoing activities throughout

the year, which should determine our way

forward.

A small committee was formed consisting of

Cathy Guertin, Susan Grohn, Janet McLeod,

Judith Waddell and Jorgen Jensen. Their

mandate is to investigate joint activities and

report back to the stewards.

It was noted that communication and

procedures must be established to ensure that

every steward knows what is happening within

the congregation and what is relevant to the

steward’s role within the church.

Building maintenance has been a high priority

in 2015.

• A motorized projector screen was

installed in the sanctuary; a new sound

system was implemented; a TV screen

was purchased by the Simpsons and

mounted near the organ facing the choir

so that they are able to follow the

service.

• The large stainless steel cross from Bethel

is to be mounted on the exterior wall

over the entrance to the new Bethel-St.

Andrews church.

• A new handicap toilet is required to

meet the new City of Ottawa building

requirements for wheelchair accessibility.

It was decided to install new flooring and

paint in both washrooms in early 2016.

This is a joint UCW-Stewards project.

• Storage has been setup for the Carp Fair

supplies. Ken and Cathy Stewart

donated two shelving units to accommo-

date the extra supplies.

• The front door to the church has been

repaired; the lamp post was also

repaired.

• We have switched to Rogers for wireless

and are using internet phone for

communications.

20 Fitzroy Pastoral Charge Annual Report 2015

A number of fund raising/outreach activities

were done throughout the year.

A Remembrance Day evening; a veteran’s

brunch was held in November; Louis Guay was

a guest speaker in December.

A men’s breakfast was held with invites to all

men in the community, and this will continue as

an outreach initiative, with different churches

within the community hosting. Jim Simpson, Ken

Stewart and Walter Veenstra make up the

Men’s Group management team.

Stewards Cathy Guertin and Rob Roesler are

working with Angie and Rev. Steve to redo our

website. We now have our own domain –

bethelstandrews.com – and our office e-mail is

[email protected]

The Carp fair was a success again this year.

Bob Pekarchuk reported a profit of $8646.88.

Cathy Guertin has prepared a list of supplies

that are needed for next year’s fair booth.

A thank you again to the UCW ladies for the

money they gave the Stewards to meet their

budget requirements this year. It is very

generous of them to put in the time and effort

and then to pass the fruits of their labour on to

the General Fund. Also, thank you to Jim and

Mary Simpson for purchasing the TV screen for

the choir loft.

Plans for 2016 include the election of all

Stewards by the first AGM of our new church. As

part of our Transition work, we have committed

to doing a Stewardship program. This will

happen during Lent in February-March.

Our church needs to know the interests of all our

people and to get an idea of financial support

expected in the second half of 2016 especially.

The Stewards and UCW are planning a dinner

auction for April 23, 2016.

Bethel-St. Andrew’s has been blessed in the last

year by the support of so many of you. Many

thanks to all the volunteer cleaners who

prepare the sanctuary for worship each week,

to our musicians and readers, to the sound and

video wizards, to our wonderful greeters and

coffee hosts, to those who assist in setup and

take down for events in the hall, to those who

keep the kitchen and bathrooms supplied with

the necessities, to the gardeners, the rakers, the

pie-makers, the finance types, the community

builders, to all the unseen church elves who see

something that needs doing and do it.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO! WE ARE THE

CHURCH TOGETHER!

21 Fitzroy Pastoral Charge Annual Report 2015

With the formation of our new church,

Bethel-St. Andrew’s, happening in July of this

year, we have been in transition as both UCW ‘s

have joined to form one group.

We have enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm

of our new group as we learn about each other

and adapt to each others’ methods and

traditions.

We had our first joint meeting in August and we

elected a new Executive:

President: Nancy Hayley

Vice-President: Donna Laughlin

Secretary: Judy Sparks

Treasurer: Carole Williams

Through this first year of transition, we have

been trying to include the traditional activities

of both groups and so far have:

· Provided pies for the Carp Fair Booth

· Organized the Annual Fall Bazaar

· Taken pies and served at the “Breast

Cancer Dinner” in Arnprior

· Made over 100 tourtieres for Christmas

sales

· Had a Christmas Bake Sale

· Sponsored the Christmas Tea and Carol

Sing for Seniors

· Delivered Christmas baskets to seniors

who have difficulty getting out

· Given funds towards the running of the

Church

· Provided refreshments for two funerals

We feel we are doing well with our transition;

finding a new energy as we explore each

others’ strengths and wisdom.

We have many more events and projects for

this year and we pray for God’s guidance as

we continue with our work in His house.

BETHEL UCW REPORT - January 1 to July 1, 2015

The Bethel UCW had a very quiet six months with only one 90th Birthday party in January and the

Fashion Show in April.

Proceeds from the birthday party and the fashion show were $2474.00

Expenses for kitchen, bank and fashion show were $742.73

We sent out a number of special birthday, get well, ‘thinking of you’, sympathy and Easter cards.

Our final function was a lunch at our closing service. The St. Andrew’s UCW put out food and looked

after kitchen duties for a number of past members and clergy. The St. Andrew’s women made the

desserts, while the Bethel women did the salads.

Our final duty was to present the new Bethel-St. Andrew’s UCW with a cheque for $4176.83, and to

close the Bethel bank account.

Respectfully Submitted,

Donna Laughlin

Bethel UCW Treasurer

31 Fitzroy Pastoral Charge Annual Report 2015

2015 was an important turning point for Bethel

United Church in Kinburn.

Following years of a declining enrolment and

financial uncertainty the congregation of Bethel

United overwhelmingly decided to close Bethel

United in June, and to amalgamate with our

charge partner of St. Andrew's United Church in

Fitzroy Harbour. The newly amalgamated

church became Bethel-St. Andrew's United

Church.

As a result of the closure of Bethel United, the

Bethel membership directed their Board of

Trustees to try to sell the church building and

property in Kinburn. That process continues to

this day. More about that later.

Many Bethel artefacts, furniture items, kitchen

ware items, etc., were moved to Bethel-St.

Andrew's Church. In July, the remaining surplus

items were offered in a evening indoor yard

sale that was open to the public. The majority

of the offered items were successfully sold and

the remaining items were offered the next

month at St. Andrew's Annual Rummage Sale.

In the end, the few unsold items were donated

to a Thrift Shop.

Now, back to the ongoing sale of the Bethel

Church and property. A Real Estate agent was

engaged early last Fall and has been actively

seeking a buyer.

To date, more than half a dozen potential

buyers have come forward and signed a

Conditional Offer of Purchase and Sale.

Unfortunately, each one of these offers has

been rescinded prior to the lapse of the Buyer's

conditions.

The major problems that potential buyers

continue to encounter is that the church

property is zoned as an “Institutional” property.

Therefore, any buyer that wants to change the

usage to “Residential” will have to initiate a

Rezoning Application with the City of Ottawa

and will be required to pay a substantial

Development Charge.

Also, because of the Institutional designation,

any request for mortgage funding falls under

most lender's “Commercial” classification. A

commercial mortgage is much more difficult to

obtain than a residential mortgage. Another

detriment to a sale of the property is the

questionable condition of the antiquated septic

system at Bethel.

This past year saw the expiry date on Bethel's

outside oil furnace tank came up, and as a

result, a new oil tank had to be installed in

December.

The Bethel Board of Trustees consists of myself

(Dwight Eastman) co-chair Rick Leben, and

Board members George Laughlin,

Dalton Eastman, Wendy Storey and Brian

Laughlin.

That concludes the 2015 Annual Report of the

Bethel United Church Board of Trustees .

Please do not hesitate to contact either Rick or

myself if you have any questions or require

further information.

Respectfully submitted

this 26th day of January, 2016.

At the first UCW meeting of 2015 it was agreed that for the first 6 months of the year, the UCWs of

was agreement to have two meetings in the summer months to make a plan to amalgamate our

activities.

The financial results are in the UCW treasurer’s report. Also attached is the ‘Pie’ report. We

As I retired as President of the St. Andrew’s UCW effective the end of June, we held elections for
