Typically a shift is 3 hours – 1.5 hours of tutoring/homework
help/literacy. Then, 1.5 hours of enrichment (photography,
entrepreneurship, art, music, sports, etc.).

Birthday Party Project’s mission is to bring joy to homeless
children through the magic of birthdays.
Seeking volunteers to help in the warehouse, filling bins for

women, and children by empowering through learning,

Seeking volunteers to help with the following programs:
- Grocery Store: Mondays restocking from 9:30am - 12pm,
Wednesdays & Thursdays helping in the store from 10am - 1pm,
and restocking Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 - 3:30pm
- Kid's Craft Time on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am - 1pm -
bring your own simple craft or use our materials and books
- Reading Room on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 - 10:30am -
read to the kids while their moms are in exercise class
- Enrichment Camps - plan and lead a Kids' Arts & Crafts Camp,
Reading Camp, or Science Camp on any weekdays throughout
the summer
- Sports Camps - plan and lead a Kids' Basketball or Volleyball
Camp on any weekdays throughout the summer - basketball
goals, basketballs, and volleyball nets provided
- Soccer Camp - high school students help coach elementary-
aged kids on June 10-12 from 7am - 1pm (transportation from
Highland Park included) and moms needed to help with
supervision
- Back to School Carnival on Saturday, August 15th from 10am -

The Family Place empowers victims of family violence by
providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create
independence while building community engagement and
advocating for social change to stop family violence.

Feed My Starving Children www.fmsc.org/
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian
organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in
body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults
hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished
children, and we ship these meals to our distribution
partners. FMSC meals have reached nearly 70 countries
around the world in our history.
Parish is hosting Feed My Starving Children in Dallas again
this year! Join us as we pack over one million meals in our
gym to send abroad for kids in third world countries.

violence against women and children by stopping individual
victimization and reducing the devastating impact of family

domestic violence.

Heart House is a free, year-round program that provides
safety, education, and opportunity to at-risk students.
Seeking Health & Fitness Summer Program Volunteers.
Volunteers will read with students daily, cook with students
weekly, participate in fun exercise classes weekly (i.e.
Zumba, Yoga), and possibly chaperone a week of field trips
during the last week of summer programming.

formerly trafficked girls and women and their children. By

Rays of Light, a Texas 501(c)(3) corporation, is dedicated to
providing free, quality respite care to families with children
with special needs, across the spectrum, in the Dallas
metropolitan area. Together with our volunteers, we strive to
lend support and relief to these families through our respite
care program called Night Lights.

RISE Adaptive Sports assists persons with physical challenges
to Recover, Inspire, Succeed and Empower themselves and
others by providing inclusive adaptive recreational sports
programs.

disabilities in different programs by participating and playing

Seven Loaves Community is committed to holistically serving
people in need in Plano, Texas and Collin County. They seek
to meet the basic needs for food to all who are food
insecure and access to health care and social services for
those at and below the poverty level.
Seeking volunteers to help in the food pantry on Thursdays
and Saturdays. They request volunteers arrive at the pantry
no later than 3:15pm on Thursdays and 8:30am on Saturdays.
In addition to Thursdays and Saturdays you may consider
helping by bagging, sorting and moving food. This takes
place on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm-8:30pm and Friday
mornings from 9:00am until noon.

The SPCA is providing every animal exceptional care and a
loving home.
Seeking volunteers to help with the children’s Summer Critter
Camps which run at both the Dallas and McKinney shelters.
They will allow youth camp mentor counselors to volunteer
without parents starting at age 14.

The National Veterans Wheelchair Games are an outgrowth
of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ historic involvement in
wheelchair sports.
