Thank you for your interest in sponsoring the City of El Centro’s 2015-2016 Special Events! Community and business support allows the City to produce many family fun events for the entire community to enjoy. Since 2007, the City has coordinated many wonderful family oriented events with over 18,000 annual attendees. The events offer something for everyone; crowds continually flock to the City’s cultural celebrations, community shows, parades and festivals.
Within this Sponsorship Presentation, you’ll find that the City has many exciting events planned for our entire community to enjoy. Please keep in mind that there are a wide variety of ways to be involved with the City’s Events and all forms of participation and contributions are welcome. The sponsorship levels listed within this presentation serve as a guideline showing the benefits received for specific sponsorship levels. We are more than happy to tailor the sponsorship to best fit your organizational needs and budget.
We have also included a media plan sample to layout the marketing plan identifying sponsors’ media benefits. We hope that this additional information is useful as you consider sponsoring the City’s Special Events.

Celebrate Mexico’s Independence Anniversary! Bring your family out for fun evening to commemorate Mexican heritage and independence. “Grito de Independencia” will be an evening of traditional celebrations, mouth watering tacos, authentic Mexican ceremony and activities for all ages. The historical ceremony of “El Grito” will be showcased amidst the best tacos that the community has to offer. Artists and artisans will proudly display their handiwork with many items available for sale.

What a great opportunity for our community to come together to participate in traditional celebrations of the season! Our City Mayor will lead the countdown to reveal a giant Christmas Tree covered in lights, tinsel and decorations. Many decorations on the tree will be hand made by El Centro school children. While enjoying cookies and hot chocolate everyone can listen to the delightful music of local choirs and performances. Santa Clause will make a dramatic appearance atop the El Centro Fire Engine and will bear gifts for hundreds of children at the event.

Events is the Mardi Gras Light Parade & Street
Festival! El Centro recreates the world famous
Mardi Gras with traditional themed colors of
purple, green and gold, in the Downtown area.
Our entire community anticipates this parade,
street festival, glittery costumes, lights, masks
and beads. Come and enjoy Jazz music and New
Orleans style cuisine . Celebrating New Orleans
tradition is an exciting and fun evening for the
entire family.

SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY OF EL CENTRO

This Agreement is made and entered into by and between the City of El Centro hereinafter referred to as “City,” and the above named
organization hereinafter referred to as “Sponsor.” The City seeks to promote positive, healthy, and active participation in leisure and recreational
programs for our community. In consideration of the premises and mutual promises set forth herein, the parties, intending to be legally bound,
hereby agree as follows:
1. The City of El Centro agrees to provide the above named company with the sponsorship benefits currently in effect and corresponding to the
specified level of sponsorship indicated herein.
2. Sponsors Responsibilities: In exchange for said sponsorship benefits, Sponsor will sign agreement and return with an electronic version of the
company logo to the City of El Centro.
3. Sponsor will provide the City of El Centro with donations in the form of:

5. Term and Termination. This Agreement shall be effective from the date of City Representative’s signature through the end of the City of El
Centro’s 2015‐2016 events.
6. Force Majeure. No party shall be responsible for events beyond its reasonable control, such as acts of God, weather delays, restrictions,
security alerts or unforeseen commercial delays. If the event is postponed due to inclement weather or other conditions beyond the City’s
control, it may be rescheduled for another time. The Sponsor shall then be entitled to, and City agrees to give Sponsor, all of the advertising and
sponsorship rights set forth herein at no additional charge to Sponsor.
7. Your sponsorship does not guarantee your product will be sold at the event.
