Statewide Technology Priorities

Cloud State agencies will evaluate, and adopt as appropriate, cloud computing solutions to drive cost-effective and efficient operations.

Data Management State agencies must implement sound data management principles to support good business practices, meet regulatory requirements, and reduce costs.

Data Sharing State agencies with common business practices and trading partners should examine opportunities to electronically share information and data to improve operational efficiency.

Infrastructure State agencies will continue to consolidate and standardize their technology infrastructure to reduce operational costs and improve service delivery.

Legacy Applications State agencies will identify existing legacy applications and prioritize their replacement or modernization.

MobilityState agencies must address the needs of an increasingly mobile citizen and workforce population.

Network State agencies should enhance network services throughout the state to deliver the most efficient and cost-effective technology.

Open Data State agencies will post high-value public data on their websites to increase government transparency and accountability.

Security, Privacy State agencies must secure their technology infrastructure, ensure the integrity of their online services, and protect the private information collected from citizens and business.

Social Media State agencies should evaluate opportunities to better engage citizens through social media and other Web 2.0 technologies.
