For outstanding achievement in a state committee project that benefits the community, the insurance industry, and/or the independent agency system

• Our committee selects a community charitable organization to support for a two-year commitment.
• Our goal is to select a charity that is state-wide so that we can make an impact in the communities of all of our members.
• We have a Project Subcommittee who spearheads our efforts with the chosen charity.
Establishing Goals• As a committee, we establish goals for each year. • Raise money to be distributed between the houses• Volunteer in-kind donation hours, including RMH-
sponsored events• Collect and donate needed material items• Collect pop tabs to be distributed among the houses
Enlisting Support• In order to achieve all of our goals, we enlisted support
from:• IIANC Member Agents (Young Agents and tenured
agents)• Company Partners • RMI Students at Appalachian State University, East
Carolina University, and University of North Carolina at Charlotte
• Colleagues, family, and friends
Promoting and Communicating• IIANC Website• Carolina Agents Journal (magazine)• Newsletters• Emails• Social Media• Events
Final Outcome• Over 200 volunteer hours• 50+ pounds of pop tops donated• Over $24,000 donated to the houses in total
