There is only one father-son duo who have won this
Filmfare award category, since it was started in 1995. The
son won it in 2014, while the father won it as part of a
group in 2002. The award is the only one among the
Filmfare awards named after a person, who ironically won
the Filmfare award only thrice, despite being nominated
numerous times.
What is the award called?
Who are the father-son duo?

This is a marble tomb in the English cemetery of Florence.
The person buried, part of a famous literary couple died
here in 1861, having eloped to Italy in 1846. The tomb was
designed by Sir Frederic Leighton, the English painter and
sculptor who had studied at Florence's Accademia di Belle
Arti. Emily Dickinson wrote about it, having treasured a
postcard photograph of it.
Whose tomb is this, a person who was tipped to succeed
William Wordsworth as poet laureate in 1850?

The official translation of this work was completed by Wilhelm
Geiger in 1912. The first English translation from Geiger’s native
German was done by Mrs. Mabel Haynes Bode. Overall, the
work has over 200,000 words of text in about 960 printed
pages. It is divided into three parts X, Y and Y Part 2.
Not a religious text as such, the work covers a period of 2300
years from 543 BC to 1815 AD and when an Englishman, George
Turnour first tried to translate it, he had great difficulty owing to
the script in which it was written.
Name the work (X), its companion volume (Y) and the script.

Two protagonists of this 502-year-old art work have made a
noticeable career of their own. For the first time in 1803, they
were copied out of the painting. Soon, they were painted on
porcelain and used as decorative motifs for jewellery.
In the second half of the nineteenth century, they found their
ways as emblems into scrapbooks, were hung as stitching
pictures on the wall, decorated bed sheets or pyjama bags.
Later, usage for a variety of “heavenly joys” of earthen goods
followed – such as coffee, chocolate, stamps or hygiene
products.
What are we talking about?

Their official name is the Sovereign Military Hospitaller
Order of St. John of X of Y and of Z. They were initially called
the Knights Hospitaller (or Hospitallers) to describe their
original mission. But they were also called the Knights of St
John because of the Order’s patron saint, and also of X,
because of their presence in this religious place.
After conquering the island of Y in 1310, they became the
Knights of Y. In 1530, the Emperor Charles V ceded the
island of Z to the Knights. Since then, the Order’s members
are commonly referred to as the Knights of Z.

These are the first few lines of a poem that has been used
in numerous Hollywood films, and is back in the news
because it was featured in the Interstellar. The poem has
five stanzas of three lines, followed by a quatrain. Such
19-line poems get their name from the Italian word
referring to a rustic song or dance, since the initial subjects
of such poems were pastoral.

The original was designed by Charles Deane in 1823, who filed a
patent for “An apparatus to be worn by persons entering rooms
or other places filled with smoke or other vapour, for the
purpose of extinguishing fire or extricating persons or property
therein”.
They however soon realised that their design was unwieldy for
fire fighters. At the same time, their interest in another field
spurred them to contact an engineer, Augustus Siebe, who came
up with an object to their specification, and replaced a rigid
chamber used till then.
What, now essential object for people undertaking a particular
activity, came about thus?

It is thought that this gentleman pioneered the use of a
logo or personal monogram, at least in his country. Way
before any recognised corporate logo from the country like
Adidas, Puma, Mercedes, he affixed a monogram with his
initials to deter production of copies and fakes. Although
there were no copyright laws at the time, he went to court
on two occasions to defend his sole use of his monogram.

This is prominently hoisted in every house in an Indian state on
their New Year Day festival, which partly bears this name. It is
seen as a symbol of victory associated with the conquests of a
great local hero.
Another legend is that Brahma’s flag (Brahmadhvaj) is hoisted in
every house as a symbolic representation of Rama’s victory and
happiness on returning to Ayodhya after slaying Ravana. Since a
symbol of victory is always held high, so is the flag.
It is also symbol of victory of Shalivahana over Sakas, which
people hoisted when he returned to Paithan.
What object that lends its name to which festival?

When Queen Elizabeth I of England died unmarried and
childless, the English crown passed to the next available
heir, her cousin James VI, King of Scotland. In 1604 he
decreed that he would in future be known by the title of
King of Great Britain, and in 1606 he gave orders for a flag
to be created for his regency, which bore the combined
crosses of St George and of St Andrew.
Question is, why is the resultant Union Jack called so?

In fencing, the development of a satisfactory
electrical system for sabre took longer than for the
epée and the foil due to various technical
difficulties.
There were two significant reasons. One was the
target—the targets for all three are different.
What was the other major reason?

Scoring on the sabre is different
Both, edge cuts and tip touches count
As opposed to the foil and épée in which the point alone is
used, in the sabre, the cut with the edge has to be taken
into account.

One name for the place is from the first European to
discover it in 1503, a Spanish sea captain Juan de
________. The other name is after an Admiral of the
Virginia Company, who was at the helm of the Sea Venture
in 1609 and deliberately drove the ship onto the reefs in
order to prevent its foundering. This allowed all people
aboard to be landed safely ashore. The wreck is shown on
the coat of arms of the place.
What are the two names?

There are two rules that govern race walking, both judged
by the naked eye. The second rule requires that the
supporting leg must straighten from the point of contact
with the ground and remain straightened until the body
passes directly over it.
What is the first rule, confirmation of which might require

“I wasn't reffing a football match, I was acting as an umpire
in military manoeuvres,” he was to remark in later years. He
was no stranger to conflict, having served in the Second
World War as a lieutenant-colonel in Asia.
But the nature of the game in Santiago merely confirmed
everybody's worst fears. Armed police had to enter the
field of play on three separate occasions to help the referee
to restore order. He sent off two Italian players, and had to
break up a number of scuffles and fights on the pitch.

The two areas of endeavour that this expression is most
often associated with are unusual and unrelated – German
opera and American sport.
The musical connection is with the familiar operatic role of
Brunnhilde in Richard Wagner's Götterdämmerung, the last
of the four-opera Ring Cycle. All the early printed
references to the phrase come from US sports. Alternately
credited to Yogi Berra, and broadcasters Dan Cook and
Ralph Carpenter, identify this phrase, appropriate to this
