    Indiana DunesNational Lakeshore The National Lakeshore offers manydifferent places to swim and playat the beaches or hike and explorethe trails. Embark on the Passport

    to the Dunes program or becomea Junior Ranger by stopping at theVisitor Center and completing specialactivities. You can also meet anof cial ranger to hike and explore thedunes with an expert!

    Parent Point: Call ahead for ranger-

    guided tour schedule. Flotationdevices are allowed, and pets are only allowed (on leashes) east of the StatePark. Lifeguards only at West Beach.

    At the Dunes State Park, you canlearn about wildlife and shipwrecksin the Nature Center (featuring kidsactivities many days at 10 and 3 inthe summer), explore the 16.5 milesof trails, complete fun activities toearn a Park Patch,and see if youcan earn a sticker by conqueringthe 3 Dune Challenge, which takesyou through three of the tallestdunes in Indiana!
