Italian technologyearns greatappreciationworldwide: the countryworldwide: the countryis among the world’sfour main exportersand last year was infirst position for growthof total exportvolumes.

Figures reveal the highest relative growth was achieved over the course oflast year. These results are part of a larger scenario of positive economicindicators, as announced during the recent Annual Assembly of ACIMGA, theItalian Manufacturers Association of Machinery for the Graphic, Convertingand Paper Industry.

In addition to its excellent reputation in printing, Italian production is now alsorecognized as top-notch around the world in other key industry sectors includingconverting, packaging and food packaging.

In particular, revenues continued to grow in 2014, consolidating a trend thatmade it possible to get through the worst years of the crisis in themanufacturing industry. The sector exports three-fourths of the totalproduction, one of the highest export figures in Italy’s entire manufacturingindustry.

Europe (both EU and extra-EU) and the NAFTA region are the main targetmarkets for Italian exports and enjoyed considerable growth throughout 2014.The industry’s trade balance continues its positive trend with an increase of2.8% over the last year.
