The ICR is currently

working on a new initiative regarding

quality in construction. The Quality Initiative Task Force has been meeting

monthly to develop a new standard

for quality in construction.

The Indiana Construction Roundtable is proud to host its 4th Annual

Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. This event gathers leaders throughout

Indiana from the construction industry to discuss the challenges facing

our states construction industry. Those who attend are sure to leave with

a renewed sense of pride in their industry and ideas for improving your

operations in the coming year.

Education is the primary focus of the ICR Annual Conference. This year’s

conference will include three different tracks, focusing on: Utilities,

Commercial, and Public Projects

. Each program will be interactive,

offering recommendations for how our industry can improve. In addition to

education, those attending will have the opportunity to network and build

relationships with your peers from our industry.

the City of Indianapolis, and Brian Gildea, Executive Director of Develop Indy, present an overview of the Marion County Planning Consortium. This discussion will offer insights on what Indianapolis is doing to strengthen and densify its urban core.

2:45 - 3:45 Market Square Project — Ronn Stewart with Flaherty & Collins will present on how they chose their delivery system and why they selected Downtown Indianapolis for their site. What were some of the incentives to build downtown? And, what were the obstacles and challenges to building at this site?

Track 3 - Public Projects1:30 - 2:30 Is P3 the New American Procurement Model? — Join Tim

Wishchetz of KPMG as he presents on the growing acceptance of P3 as the building method of choice across the country. What circumstances make it appropriate, and where is it less workable? This presentation will also explain why P3 was chosen for the Marion County Judicial Center project.

2:45 - 3:45 CM at Risk in Indiana — Michael B. Cline of Purdue University will provide an overview of the CM at Risk project delivery method and how it can be used in the future. Vice President Cline will also provide an overview of Purdue’s plans for growth and how CM at Risk will fit into their procurement model.
