Westwood Hills Nature Center Pavilion

Veterans’ Memorial Amphitheater Terraced into the hill, the amphitheater connects the park to the Excelsior & Grand Town Green. Its eight terraced tiers offer seating for 300 people. The concrete stage at the bottom of the hill is edged with trees and shrubs. The facility is available after dusk until 10 p.m. with an additional fee for overhead lights. Westwood Hills Nature Center Pavilion 8300 W. Franklin Ave. This pavilion, located near the playground, has an open design which seats up to 25 people. Windows on three sides of this fully accessible building offer beautiful views of the Nature Center grounds and playground.

The building also features restrooms, sinks and drinking fountains. It’s a great place for meetings, parties and more!

Westwood Hills Nature Center Brick House 1324 Westwood Hills Rd. Looking for a unique place for your next meeting or seminar for up to 30 people? This house features a large central room complete with a gas fireplace, two rooms for breakout activities, bathrooms, and a kitchen area. Plus, a porch looks over the beautiful grounds of this home adjacent to the Nature Center. Available year-round, except on holidays.

Banquet Room Rental The Banquet Room overlooks the Aquatic Park and Wolfe Park and is available for weddings, birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, company events, family reunions and meetings. The room seats up to 160 and offers a caterer’s holding kitchen, dance floor, “dimmable” lighting and sound system. A-V equipment also available.

Gallery Room Rental Located on the first floor of The Rec Center, the gallery can accommodate 35 to 60 people for small group gatherings, team meetings and birthday parties. Audio-visual equipment can be rented for an additional fee.

Indoor Ice Skating Parties During open public skating sessions the adjacent gallery room can be rented for private parties. Party includes two hour rental and admission to open skating for up to 15 people; skate rental also available.

Indoor Ice Rink Rental Rent The Rec Center’s indoor ice arena for birthday parties, celebrations, and company or school events. Fee includes use of the gallery room for two hours without additional charge. The Banquet Room can also be reserved for use at half the cost. Up to 15 rental skates are included with private ice rental.

Outdoor Skate Park The Rec Center, 3700 Monterey Drive The Tier 1 skateboard park features two platforms with four foot high ramps on each end of the paved skating surface as well as grinding rails and box. Public restrooms, phones and vending machines are located next to the Skate Park inside The Rec Center. Any scheduled classes or programs which could limit open skating will be posted at the Skate Park. For rental information, call (952) 924-2540. 9 a.m. – dusk; seasonal; free

Mobile Stage Rental The City of St. Louis Park offers a portable 36-foot mobile stage is available for rental on weekdays after 4 p.m. and on weekends. Basic fee includes delivery, set-up, built-in stage and a public address system.

Sport Court Rentals Stop by and use any of St. Louis Park’s sand volleyball, tennis or pickleball courts. To ensure that a court is available, call (952) 924-2540 to reserve a court, for a fee, from April through October.
