BLUEPRINT FOR WINNINGThe 2014 Kawasaki KFX®450R ATV is a one-way ticket to turning up the heat on the competition.
With an engine based on the incredibly successful KX™450F motocrosser, and a lightweight all-aluminum chassis designed to provide the strength and low center of gravity that a race-winner needs, every ride on the KFX450R is exciting. But you don’t have to race the KFX450R to enjoy it; with plenty
of low- and mid-range power, serious trail riding and back woods exploration is just as easy.
Add in electric start, reverse gear, fuel injection, tremendous suspension travel—and adjustment—and you have a sport ATV that can win races or leave your friends behind on the trail.
So if you want to be at the head of the pack at the races or on weekend play rides, check out the 2014 KFX450R.
- KFX®450R
Up front the KFX450R frame was designed to allow the longest possible front A-arms. This engineering effectively minimizes camber changes through the suspension stroke, and allows the front end to stay more planted thanks
to the dual-rate springs and progressive damping characteristics. The rear suspension provides enhanced control from an extremely torsionally rigid cast aluminum swingarm and highly adjustable rear shock.
To keep your KFX450R out front—no matter what you do—the engine features cutting edge performance components. Things
like a triple-ring piston and a 21mm diameter pin for durability, fuel injection that adjusts to any altitude or temperature instantly, a large-volume airbox, titanium valves, asymmetrical cams and
double valve springs are all a part of what gets the 449cc, liquid-cooled single running at peak performance all the time.
CLASS-LEADING PERFORMANCE
REINFORCED REAR WHEELS
RACE-PERFORMANCE SUSPENSION
Landing a big jump and trail obstacles like rocks are hard on the wheels, while added weight can be detrimental to winning races. The KFX450R rear wheels are engineered to be strong—but keep weight to a minimum—by being reinforced on the inside edge.

WELCOME TO THE DIRT WORLDWhen a young rider is ready for a little more power, the KFX®90 steps into the spotlight. Powered by an 89cc four-stroke single, the KFX90 has enough power to be a lot of fun, but not so much that it intimidates a beginning rider. Adding to rider comfort and a secure, in-control feeling are full floorboards, keeping feet in contact with the ATV whether standing up or sitting down. Electric start is a confidence building feature for beginners learning how to ride; just squeeze the brakes, push the button and the KFX 90 starts up.
With single A-arm suspension and twin shocks up front, and single shock rear suspension, the KFX90 can take the bumps on the trail in stride. Stopping is sure and easy with front drum brakes and a rear disc brake, the rear being fully enclosed to protect it from the elements.
Safety features like an easy-to-set throttle limiter and removable ignition switch help keep parents relaxed as first-time riders learn the joys of a four-wheel machine. Maybe it’s time to take your kids to check out the KFX90 and get their dirt riding lifestyle up and running.

KFX ®90 -
GOOD "CLEAN" FUNGetting your kid off to a long four-wheel lifestyle has to have a starting point and the 2014 Kawasaki KFX®50 ATV is the best machine to start on. A potent four-stroke engine—and an adjustable throttle
limiter—with an automatic clutch and electric start are key in making sure first rides are safe and fun.
The air-cooled 49cc single runs smoothly all day while drawing down the fuel in the ample 2.6-liter fuel tank’s range. The continuously variable transmission lets the action get fun, but eliminates the pressure
of having to operate a manual transmission. And when your young rider needs to stop, durable dual front drum brakes and a hydraulic disc rear brake slow things down quickly and surely.
Other features to keep a young rider safe include full-sized floorboards, an easy-to-set throttle limiter and an engine stop switch with a cut-off tether. The KFX50 is a great introduction into the fantastic world
of four-wheel riding.
