*Continue to practice multiplication and division facts. Goal for mastery is

October 1.

*Principal’s Math Challenge

*Students are welcome to take home their math books each night.

Lunch is at 12:05 pm.

Snack is at 11:05 am.

Water bottles are welcome in class as long as they contain clear liquid and do not become a distraction.

Students must master 3 kinds of essays:

*Narrative

*Opinion

*Informational Essay

*7-8 day cycle

*Spelling Tests every 8 days: Check Weekly Newsletter for exact testing dates.

*Tests are based on a spelling pattern.

*Daily: Students will record their assignment(s) on a Homework Log.

•Reading Log: It is on the back of the Homework Log. Students are to read each night and record (quality) information.

A = 94–100% A- = 90-93% B+ = 87–89% B = 84-86% B- = 80-83% C+ = 77-79% C = 74-76% C- = 70-73% D+ = 67-69% D = 64-66% D- = 60-63% F = 0-59%

•Please review the Ben Franklin folder with your child each Thursday.

•A Weekly Newsletter will come home each Monday with important information about tests, what skills we are studying, and school events.

We will most likely have a Jog-a-Thon to pay for the trip.
