KELOWNA CHIEFS JUNIOR HOCKEY

“Our sales focus is simple for our corporate spon-sors, create a high return on investment by provid-ing an integrated marketing program designed to promote their company to a captive audience who share their passion for this beloved game.”

Grant SheridanGeneral Manager Kelowna Chiefs

As a member of The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, the Kelowna Chiefs Hockey Club is focused on building long-term suc-cess from a foundation of honesty, commitment and contribution. We develop our community’s future leaders through the game of hockey by re-enforcing a reward system that supports the empowerment of every member of the team. The spirit, energy and competitiveness of our athletes are among the team’s greatest assets.

Every member of our organization is encouraged to reach for their highest potential while preparing for their future through education and contribu-tion to our community as a positive role model. Established in 2010 in Kelowna, the Chiefs Junior Hockey Club is committed to ensuring our players are recognized by teams at higher levels for their strong play and dedication to skill development, leadership and competitiveness.

HeAd CoACH JAson TAnsemGrowing up and going to school, playing minor hockey, and having deep roots in Kelowna, it is a natural fit to have Jason as the Head Coach of the Kelowna Chiefs. Jason has been involved with Hockey his entire life as a Player, Coach, and Asso-ciation Head Coach and has a level of passion and compete that he brings to the team every day. Jason has his own National magazine publishing business right in Kelowna and understands the im-portance of “Community” and “Corporate Identity.” Jason will lead his players by example, not only on the ice, but during off-ice Community Events that make our Team and Corporate Partners stronger. Jason will be at various events, schools and team functions representing the Kelowna Chiefs, their players and our valued Corporate Partners.

AssIsTAnT GenerAL mAnAGer mIKe WHITeHeAdAs a fan and supporter of the Kelowna Chiefs, Mike Whitehead has recognized the quality of the Kelowna Chief’s program and has now become the Assistant General Manager. Mike has been involved in hockey in Kelowna for over 20 years in various capacities, and will be a valuable addition to the business and player development side of the Chiefs. Mike’s extensive business background in the Okanagan will contribute to further devel-oping and strengthening the Chiefs brand as well as Junior hockey in the community.

“The KIJHL is a great league that gives players another amazing option to further their hockey careers and I wanted to be a part of that. The Chiefs commitment to the community, focus on education, and putting a competitive product on the ice, is a testament to the strong organization. The Kelowna Chiefs is a first class organization in a first class city.”

“Passion for the game of hockey and its growth in our community is what drives us. We want to see our players develop and go from playing with the Chiefs to the BCHL, WHL and ultimately the NHL. Support from our corporate sponsors is critical to our success. As a small business owner the great-est benefit to sponsorship is visibility to a captive audience of over 150,000 people watching or par-ticipating in sports at Rutland Arena during their leisure and family time each year. This audience includes business owners, families, athletes, fans and sports enthusiasts. Our corporate sponsors not only gain year round exposure and the oppor-tunity to leverage the team’s success for their own benefit, they join an influential business commu-nity who share their passion for supporting the growth of this sport and our community.”
