HOW TO USE THE PAY STATION

PARKING RATES(*15 minutes minimum parking time)

Surface lots/street locations Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. $2.00/hour

Garage locations Daily, 7 a.m. - 2 a.m. Regents Drive Garage, Mowatt Lane garage Union Lane Garage, Stadium Drive Garage Paint Branch Visitor Lot (FREE on weekends)

Rates: Monday-Friday

$1.50/half hour - $3.00/hour - $15.00/daily

Rates: Weekends

$3.00/hour - $5/day

Pay Stations

1. Park in any pay-station controlled area; signs will indicate such areas on campus.

2. Look for your space number. This number will either be marked on the ground or on a metal plate on the wall in front of you. Make a note of the number; you will need to enter it at the station.

3. Locate the nearest pay station.

4. Press okay to start.

5. Enter your space number.

6. Enter the amount of time.

7. Insert payment.

8. Take receipt.There is no need to display receipt in your vehicle.

BLACK vs. REDLot signs are color-coded to easily distinguish parking restrictions. Signs with BLACK text welcome parking after 4 p.m. without a permit or CLPR, whereas lot signs with RED text are used to bring awareness to various parking restrictions.

LETTER or NUMBERSigns that begin with a LETTER are considered faculty/staff lots,regardless of any sub-number that follows it. Signs that begin with a NUMBER are considered student lots.

SPECIAL RESTRICTIONSThe area below the lot assignment indicates any special restrictions to the lot. During restriction hours, only permits or CLPR assigned to the parking area are permitted to park in the lot.

24-HOUR RESTRICTION Only permits or Campus License Plate Registrants (CLPR) corresponding to this area are permitted to park here at any time.

MODIFIED RESTRICTIONS During the hours of 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., these lots become unrestricted to faculty/staff permit/CLPR holders only. After 8 p.m., anyone with or without a permit/CLPR may park here, until 7 a.m. the next day.

FACULTY/STAFF RESTRICTIONS After 4 p.m., these lots become unrestricted only to faculty/staff with valid parking registration.

UNRESTRICTED AFTER 4 P.M. After 4 p.m., no CLPR is required for these lots. These lots become unrestricted to all faculty/staff, students and visitors.

How to Read a Parking Lot SignAt the entrance of each parking area, there is a parking lot restriction sign. Understanding the restrictions specified by each sign is an important factor in having a pleasant parking experience at the University of Maryland.
