2013 Annual Report
Our Mission: To strengthen our community's response to child abuse and neglect; and to provide a safe and nurturing place for evaluation, investigation, and treatment.
Our Purpose: Four Corners Child Advocacy Center is a non-‐profit child advocacy center founded in 1992 and maintains
accreditation through the National Children’s Alliance. It serves as a safe, friendly home-‐like environment where victims of child abuse and their families can come for support, information and services.
The Center serves as a one stop facility where area agencies such as law enforcement, social services and medical professionals come to the child and conduct their respective investigations and examinations as opposed to the child being shuffled from agency to agency. This type of response reduces the number of times
the child must tell their story to detectives and social workers which can be very traumatic to the child. Using the Four Corners Child Advocacy Center as a coordinating agency reduces the trauma to the child and
recognizes their special needs. Only through such sensitivity can children begin to deal with the abuse they have experienced, and ultimately heal from their emotional wounds. A complete list of services can be found on our website, visit www.nestcac.org. Four Corners Child Advocacy Center clients are not charged fees for
services. The mission of Four Corners Child Advocacy Center is based on the belief that:
• The intervention system must be sensitive to the needs of abused children and their families and meet these needs by respecting the uniqueness of each child victim and family.
• Child abuse is a community problem, necessitating a community-‐oriented response. • The combined wisdom and professional knowledge of the participating investigating and treating
agencies results in a more effective response to child abuse and neglect. Four Corners Child Advocacy Center is a community based program and exists with the full cooperation of the
