Board Elections were held. Existing board members introduced themselves and talked about their

responsibilities. Kelly from SE Uplift said that the neighborhood can have up to 15 members. Eleven

were nominated and elected to positions.

The results of the election are:

    Erika Wilson President

    Regan Hermans Vice President

    Meghan Humphreys - Secretary

    Jed Roberts Treasurer

Scott Vala -- SE Uplift Liaison

    At Large Board Members are: Terah Beth Balzer-Varga (Communications), Nicole Green (Land Use);

Daniel Portis-Cathers; Marcel Hermans (Transportation); Patrick Fuller (Transportation); Jonathan

    Brandt (Sustainability)

Both Healthy Kids, Healthy Portland and Clean Water Portland presented the pro and con arguments

related to fluoridating Portlands water supply. Neighbors had questions for both sides and those were

    answered by both speakers.

Officers Ruppel and Gallagher attended from the Prostitution Team (mostly along 82nd

    and online.) The

officer said that some additional prostitution has been taking place along Foster and also on Sandy Blvd.

There have been some concerns coming up around 77th

and Harold and a homeless camp on the

sidewalk that may be related to prostitution as well. Budget cuts from Police, and other programs thathelp women trying to get out of prostitution at Lifeworks and through the District Attorneys office may

be cut in this budget cycle as well. Kelly Cloyd from the DAs office prosecutes these cases . They

encouraged residents to contact them with specific issues; and to contact the City (Mayor and

Commissioners) to advocate for anti-prostitution efforts to be funded this budget cycle. They can

contact Kelley Cloyd ([email protected]) and Jeff Ruppel ([email protected]).

Nathan Teskey from Hacienda CDC attended to talk about the Portland Mercado project. The site is the

former Metro Auto Wholesale site at 72nd

and Foster. The project is entering the final design phase (with

Scott Edwards Architects). The goal is to make it possible for small businesses to succeed. They would

like neighbors to give feedback on what amenities we would like. Neighbors filled out surveys asking us

to rank possible offerings. There will be a Depave event at this site this fall; opening is slated for spring

    2014.

    June 4th

no location yet Foster Lents Integrated Partnership and Foster Streetscape Open House will

take place; all interested in the future development of Foster Road are encouraged to save the date.

The official event announcements were repeated from the Meeting Agenda.

Meeting adjourned at 8:05. -- Minutes taken by Meghan Humphreys, Secretary
