Doug and I are truly excited to be your Celebrity Hosts this year. We kick-off the event on Sunday, September 15th at River Landing. We will also have a day specifically designated to spend time on base with our troops, giving you the chance to interact on a personal basis with our military heroes. We will also continue the time honored tradition of “Warrior Night”, as well as a few exciting new initiatives.

History

Hope For The Warriors® is a national, nonprofit organization that supports wounded U.S. service members, their families, and families of the fallen. A group of military wives founded the organization in 2006. They stood together as they witnessed, firsthand, the effects of the war on service members and their families. Since that time, Hope For The Warriors® has grown tremendously in the span of programs offered and the number of wounded and family members assisted.

While founded in North Carolina, the organization maintains offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Florida. Its representatives cover California, Texas, Illinois, and Wyoming, enabling us to maintain a nation-wide presence. The leadership of the organization still remains in the dedicated hands of military wives.

Together, our board of directors, staff, and volunteers work tirelessly to serve those who have sacrificed so much. The integrity of our organization is paramount and therefore our representatives are as honorable and noble as our mission and the people we serve.

Warriors® has grown tremendously in the span of programs offered and the number of wounded and family members assisted. Their programs offer a full cycle of support starting with Immediate Needs financial assistance and continuing through A Warrior’s Wish, Hope & Morale, Above & Beyond Transitional Program, Spouse/Caregiver Scholarships, Family Reintegration Program, Family Support, Team Hope For the Warriors and more.

Through Immediate Needs financial assistance the staff aids overwhelmed families who are learning to navigate the medical centers. As a family transitions from shock, to fear, to acceptance and determination- Hope For the Warriors tracks their needs each step of the way.

Through Hope and Morale Outdoor Adventure programs, wounded service members utilize golf, hunting, fishing, kayaking and more as part of their physical and emotional rehabilitation. The Above & Beyond transitional program has paired service members with mentors- teaching heroes how to succeed within the civilian employment market. Athletes, who run, bike, swim and more join Team Hope For the Warriors, engaging their competitive spirit and allowing them to be defined by their accomplishments, not their injuries.

Family members are an integral part of a service member’s recovery and an important focus of each program. The Family Support Program ensures that the needs of the families are addressed alongside the needs of the service members. Hope For the Warriors® understands the challenges, pride, and joy of being a military family. For today, tomorrow, and years to come, they will strive to meet the changing needs of service members and their families.

Johnny Lee Bench is a former professional baseball catcher who played in the Major Leagues for the Cincinnati Reds from 1967 to 1983 and is a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Bench, a 14-time All-Star selection and a two-time National League Most Valuable Player, was a key member of The Big Red Machine, which won six division titles, four National League pennants, and two World Series championships. Sports analysts have called him the greatest catcher in baseball history

Bench had 2,048 hits for a .267 career batting average with 389 home runs and 1,376 RBI during his 17-year Major League career, all spent with the Reds. He retired as the career home run leader for catchers, a record which stood until surpassed by Carlton Fisk and the current record holder, Mike Piazza. Bench still holds the Major League record for the most grand slam home runs by a catcher, with 10

In his career, Bench earned 10 Gold Gloves, was named to the National League All-Star team 14 times, and won two Most Valuable Player Awards. He led the National League three times in caught stealing percentage and ended his career with a .991 fielding percentage. Bench also won such awards as the Lou GehrigAward (1975), the Babe Ruth .(Award (1976), and the Hutch Award (1981

JOHNNY BENCH

DOUG FLYNN Flynn made his major league debut at age 23 on April 9, 1975 in a 4-3 Reds win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Riverfront Stadium. Flynn was part of the "Big Red Machine" team that won the 1975 and 1976 World Series

Primarily used as a utility infielder during the 1975 and 1976 seasons, he played 182 games and in each season totaled one home run and 20 runs batted in, with batting averages of .268 and .283, respectively. In the 1977 season he played in 36 games for the Reds and batted .250 before being traded

Flynn assumed the job of their everyday second baseman for the Mets during the 1978 season, playing in 156 games and batting .237, and for the 1979 season playing 157 games and batting .243. He won the National League GoldGlove Award at second base for the Mets in 1980

On August 5, 1980, Flynn tied a Mets record by hitting three triples in one game in a 11–5 loss to the Expos in Montreal. With the Rangers, Flynn reassumed the back-up middle infielder role he had in his early career. Midway through the 1982 season, the Montreal Expos purchased Flynn's contract from Texas, and used him in this role through June 11, 1985, when he was released. He signed with the Detroit Tigers for the remainder of that season,and retired from baseball when the Tigers released him in spring training the following season

JIM MCMAHON Jim McMahon is a former American football player. He played college football at Brigham Young University, where he was a two-time All-American (1980, 1981) and later in the professional ranks with the Chicago Bears, San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and Green Bay Packers

The Chicago Bears selected McMahon in the first round (fifth overall) of the 1982 NFL Draft. McMahon won the Bears' starting quarterback job as a rookie, and was named to several All-Rookie teams when he nearly led the team to the playoffs. McMahon was named NFC Offensive Rookie of the Year, losing the league-wide honor to Marcus Allen

In 1985 the Bears won their first 12 games and finished 15–1 for the season. McMahon became a media darling, not only for his outstanding play on the field, but also for his personality. He appeared in a rap record made by the team, "The Super Bowl Shuffle," in which he proclaimed "I'm the punky QB known as McMahon." He ended the season with a strong performance in Super Bowl XX, which the Bears won 46–10 over the New England Patriots. In that game McMahon became the firstquarterback in the history of the Super Bowl to rush for two touchdowns. McMahon earned a spot in the Pro Bowl

CHRIS MOHR Chris Mohr is a former American football punter. Mohr grew up in Thomson, Georgia, where he played football at Briarwood Academy. He was recruited by the University of Alabama, where he was the team's starting punter for three years

After being named the Southeastern Conference's best punter his senior year, he spent the 1989 NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was their punter the entire season. He spent one season with the Montreal Machine of the World League of American Football before being signed by the Buffalo Bills

Mohr was with the Bills from 1991 to 2000, during which time he appeared in three Super Bowls with the team — Super Bowl XXVI, Super Bowl XXVII, and Super Bowl XXVIII. He signed with his hometown AtlantaFalcons before the 2001 NFL season, where he played for four years before being waived in 2005

He was signed by the Washington Redskins before the 2005 NFL season began, but was cut a few days later. He officially retired from the NFL in 2007 by signing a one-day contract with the Buffalo Bills

Of note is that Mohr, along with Casey Beathard, co-wrote "I See Me" for country singer Travis Tritt, whichappeared on Tritt's album My Honky Tonk History

HOWARD STEVENS Stevens started his college career at Randolph-Macon College, where he was named All-American in 1968 (honorable mention) and 1969 (second team)and then transferred to the University of Louisville where he earned a B.A. in Psychology. Stevens played only two seasons for Louisville but has been inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame

In 1972, Stevens was named to the United Press International, the Walter Camp and the Football News all- American football teams and the Associated Press Second Team. The University of Louisville retired Stevens' jersey in 1972. He set a school record for rushing yards in a season with 1,429 yards in 1971 while scoring 12 touchdowns. Stevens, who was listed at 5 ft 5 in tall and 165 lb, was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 16th round (392nd overall) of the 1973 Draft. He played two years for the Saints, lead the NFL in 1974 in kick-offand punt returns

SCOTT FITZKEE Scott Austin Fitzkee (born April 8, 1957 in York, Pennsylvania) is a former professional American football wide receiver. He played in both the National Football League (NFL) and United States Football League (USFL) and starred at Penn State University in 1978. In the NFL, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers, and in the USFL, he played for the Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars

Kelly Edge has led many speaking engagements on a variety of design topics, helping clients live beautifully by arranging their own treasures in the best possible way. She loves to use her fabulous sense of humor with.homeowners as she convinces them to rearrange everything

In addition to her innovative designs for HGTV, Kelly Edge has been featured on XM radio, various magazine articles and newspaper stories. The Orange County Register called her "the Emeril Lagasse of decorating," for her flair of adding the right touch of "bam!" and "pow!" to her designs. Kelly Edge brings an energy and enthusiasm to each project, sharing a contagious can-do attitude that inspires both homeowners and viewers

Her business Edge Decor is based in "The OC," Southern California's picturesque Orange County, where she lives with her husband and college-age daughter. In her off time Edge lends her talents as a celebrity golfer in varioustournaments to help raise funds for charity

DANNY TALBOTT Star quarterback at UNC in 1960s. Voted ACC Football Player of the Year, 1965. Won McKelvin Award as league’s top athlete, 1966. Named Most Valuable Player in 1966 East-West Shrine Game. All-ACC baseball player. Helped UNC to 1966 College World Series. Led Rocky Mount High School to state championships infootball, baseball, and basketball in 1962–1963 season. Native of Rocky Mount

KEN HUFF Huff was the third overall pick in the 1975 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Colts. The Colts went from being the last placed team in 1974 with a 2-12 record to a contender with a 10-4 record in Huff’s first year. Theycontinued their run and made the play-offs for the next three years

In 1983 he was traded to the Washington Redskins and became a member of the famed “Hogs” offensive line along with Mark May, Russ Grimm, Joe Jacoby, Jeff Bostic and George Starke. He played in Super Bowl XVIII where the Redskins were defeated by the Oakland Raiders. Huff retired in 1986 after 11 years and acareer 145 games in the NFL

In May 2008, Huff was inducted into theNorth Carolina Sports Hall of Fame

JOHN BUNTING John Bunting was a starting linebacker for the University of North Carolina from 1969 to 1971 under Coach Bill Dooley. In 1971, Bunting earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors and helped lead the Tar Heels to the 1971 ACC footballchampionship

John had an eleven-year NFL career as a linebacker with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1972–82, and he played in Philadelphia's Super Bowl XV game against the Oakland Raiders. Bunting then played for the Philadelphia Stars of the United States Football League from 1983 to 1984. After retiring as an NFL player, Bunting moved into the coaching ranks

He has served as the assistant coach for three NFL teams: Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Rams, and the New Orleans Saints. As the head defensive coach for the Rams, he played a key role in leading that team to their victory in Super Bowl XXXIV. In December 2000, UNC athletic director Dick Baddour decided to hire him

TONY WOMACK Tony Womack never dreamed of playing Major League Baseball. Often considered too small, he was overlooked by many college coaches and baseball scouts. Although he had a tremendous love for baseball, Tony’s goal was to achieve a college education. Following high school Tony was offered a scholarship at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina where hecould continue to play the game he loved and attain a college education

By his junior year at Guilford, Tony’s success on the baseball diamond had begun to earn him recognition, and at the end of the year, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tony made the decision to leave Guilford College to pursue an opportunity to play Major League Baseball. However, Tony was determined to complete his college education. For the next two years, hereturned each fall semester to finish his Bachelors of Science degree in Sports Management

On the field, Tony continued to excel and became one of the league's best leadoff men and base runners. Over his 13 year MLB career Tony went on to become a Major League All-Star and in 2001 earned a World Series Championship with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tony also won the Lou Brock Award for leading the league in stolen bases for three seasons (97’-99’),and was honored with The Roberto Clemente Award for his work within the community while with the Pittsburgh Pirates

TERESA WADE Teresa Wade is a study in contrasts— she studied classical piano for 12 years while growing up as a tomboy in the south, showing horses, and catching catfish with her Dad... She’s a graduate of UGA…A ‘near pro’ golfer… A former pageant queen, who prefers tobe recognized for her talent rather than beauty ... She’s a warm, charismatic charmer on stage…yet a reserved intellectual in private

Wade’s fresh vocal interpretations and ease with an audience betray the fact that she’s been performing all her life, whether at church as a child in Stone Mountain, GA or as a goodwill ambassador overseas. THURL BAILEY Bailey attended North Carolina State University and was a leader in the Wolfpack's miracle run to the 1983 NCAAChampionship. That year, under head coach Jim Valvano, he led the Wolfpack in both scoring and rebounding

The Utah Jazz selected him as the 7th pick of the 1983 NBA Draft. Jazz management reported that he was selected for the quality of his character, as well as the quality of his game. This was the beginning of 16 years of his playing professional basketball, 12 of those years were with the NBA

On November 25, 1991, he was traded by the Jazz along with a 1992 second-round draft pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Tyrone Corbin. There he played for almost three seasons until 1994, when he left the NBA and played in the Greek League (playing for Panionios) for the 1994-95 season. From 1995 to 1998 he played in the Italian League for Polti Cantù in 1995-97 and Stefanel Milano in 1997-98, Thurl Bailey retired after the end of 1999season

JACK MARIN John Warren "Jack" Marin is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6-foot, 7-inch) guard/forward from Duke University, Marin was named to the 1967 NBA All-Rookie Team and spent 11 seasons in the NBA (1966–1977), playing for the Baltimore Bullets, Houston Rockets, Buffalo Braves and Chicago Bulls

The left-handed Marin was a two-time All-Star and scored 12,541 points in his career. He is perhaps most remembered for being traded to the Houston Rockets (along with future considerations) for Elvin Hayes. He led theNBA in free throw percentage during the 1971-72 NBA season

After retiring from the NBA, Marin entered Duke University Law School and graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1980. Presently (2006), he is a partner in the Richmond, Virginia-based law firm of Williams Mullen where he focuses his practice on sports law. He acts as outside counsel to the National Basketball Retired Players Association, and alsorepresents basketball players performing abroad

DAVE ROBBINS For more than 25 years, Dave Robbins has shared his tremendous musical talent by proxy, writing songs that have fueled the careers of country and pop artists who illuminate his body of work through the refracted light of their own interpretations. In 1983, he penned his first #1 hit, “All My Life,” which crossover king Kenny Rogers took to the top of the AC charts. Robbins soon became instrumental in the success of country band Restless Heart, composing several of their hits including “The Bluest Eyes In Texas,” which was a #1 hit in 1988and remains a country standard today

In the early 1990’s, Robbins stepped into a performing role as a member of country group Blackhawk, with whom he played keyboards, occasionally sang, and penned several more hit songs including “Every Once In A While,” the #1 hit that catapulted Blackhawk to fame and spurred sales of more than 5 million albums. Now finally, Robbins is stepping directly into the spotlight, exposing once and for all his innermost artistic workingswith the release of his debut solo album, Soul Mining

JOHN DALY John Daly is an internationally known TV Host, journalist, and author. He is well-known for his pioneering reality show Real TV. His book, Truth: The No BS Guide To Navigating A Media Biased World, was published in 2005. His website and radio show -- Informed Not Inflamed -- brings in an average of 250,000 listeners a month on Blog Talk Radio. John has attended numerous Scarlet andGold events

EDDIE KHAYAT An all-around athlete, Eddie Khayat lettered in football four times, basketball twice, baseball once, and won the Mississippi Golden Gloves Heavyweight Championship during his time in college. After graduating from Tulane University in 1957, he signed with the Washington Redskins. He went on to have a ten year career in the NFL; two stints each with the Redskins and Eagles and a final season with the American Football League Boston Patriots. A defensive lineman, Eddie was a key player for the 1960 Philadelphia Eagles World Championship Team. He has been inducted into six Halls of Fame: the Tulane Athletic Hall of Fame, the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the 1960 Eagles, the MGCCC Alumni Hall of Fame, the MGCCC Sports Hall of Fame, and the York Area Sports Hall of Fame. He was also selected as the Mississippi Sportsman of the Year and named to the All-Time Tulane Football Team and the Tulane Green Wave All-CenturyTeam

After retiring as a player, Eddie continued in the NFL as a coach. During a twenty-five year career, he served as head coach of the Eagles for two seasons and held defensive assistant positions with the Saints, Lions, Falcons, Colts, Patriots, and Buccaneers. In 1991, he joined the Arena Football League as the Head Coach of the New Orleans Night. Later, he led the Nashville Kats as Head Coach and General Manager. In 1997, he was honored as the Arena Football Coach of the Year. Now a public speaker, he also teaches pass rush techniques to college defensive lineman who are prospective NFL draftees

From 1994 to 1996, Eddie was the Central Development Director for Pennsylvania Special Olympics. For over 25 years, he hasco-hosted an annual celebrity golf tournament in York, PA that benefits the county’s Special Olympics programs

Eddie is an active member and past vice-president of the Nashville Chapter of the NFL Players Association and currently serveson the Former Players Board of Directors of the NFLPA

TROT NIXON Trot Nixon played 12 years in the Major Leagues for three different teams but is best known for his play with the Boston Red Sox, where he was afixture in right field for 10 seasons. He was among the most popular players in Boston due to his hussle and intensity

Trot attended New Hanover High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he was a two-sport star. As a senior, he was named North Carolina baseball Player of the Year and Baseball America’s High School Player of the Year while leading his team to a State 4A title. In football, Trot broke several school passing records and was offered a scholarship to play quarterback at North Carolina State. He gave up football after being selectedby the Red Sox in the first round (seventh overall) of the 1993 MLB Draft

Trot’s first full season with the Red Sox came in 1999 after being called-up sporadically the previous two seasons. He had a career-best year in 2003 when he batted .306 with 24 doubles and 28 home runs. In game three of the American League Division Series that season, Trot was called from the bench as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 11th. With the Red Sox facing elimination, Trot lined a two-run homer over the center field wall for a 3–1 Boston victory over the Oakland A’s

During the 2004 season, Trot was unavailable for several months due to a couple of injuries. Upon his return, he was the starting right fielder throughout the remainder of the regular and postseason. In the deciding game of the 2004 World Series, Trot hit a two-out, two-run double off the right field wall at Busch Stadium in St. Louis in the top of the third inning to give Boston a 3–0 lead. Those runs proved to be the difference as.the Red Sox swept the Cardinals for the team’s first World Series title in 86 years. For the series, Trot batted .357 with three RBI’s

Trot endeared himself to Sox fans through his unwavering dedication to his teammates and by briefly wearing a mohawk hairstyle, one of the many unconventional hairstyles sported by the Red Sox over the course of the 2004 season. Trot also served as the inspiration for the expression ” Dirt Dogs”. The signature is that of a “scrapper”, a player who hustles and isn’t afraid to get dirty to win a game

Following the 2006 season, Trot was not offered salary arbitration by the Red Sox and signed with the Cleveland Indians, where he played for one season. In 2007, he played for the New York Mets and briefly signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers before retiring

Trot and his wife Kathryn have two sons, Chase and Luke. They reside in North Carolina

JOHN ASHTON Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Ashton is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Theatre. He attended Enfield High School in Enfield, Connecticut

Ashton has starred in several productions including M*A*S*H and Midnight Run. He played "Willie Joe Garr" on several episodes of Dallas, his character and that of "Jeb Ames" were charged with the crime of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Tina Louise's Dallas character "Julie Grey". Ashton also appeared in an episode of Columbo: Negative Reaction and in episode 5 of Police Squad, Rendezvous at Big Gulch (Terror in the Neighborhood), as one of the henchmen who atack the locksmiths shop

Ashton also starred as Detective Sergeant John Taggart in the first two movies of the popular Beverly Hills Cop trilogy alongside Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold, and appeared as Eric Stoltz's father in the John Hughes comedy-drama Some Kind of Wonderful. He also starred in the 1994 film Little Big League with Luke Edwards, and appeared in a supporting role in the acclaimed 2007 drama Gone Baby Gone directed by Ben Affleck

Ashton has stated that he would be willing to reprise his roles in the rumored Beverly Hills Cop IV and Midnight Run II productions. He guest starred opposite Beverly Hills Cop co-star Ronny Cox in an episode of Matthew Perry's 2011 series, Mr Sunshine. Ashton currently resides in Fort Collins, Colorado and is co-host of the Ashtonand Davis show on 870 ESPN radio

DILLON DIXON Dixon was born in North Carolina, and then grew up in Denver, CO. Several of his family members were singers and musicians who encouraged his music development. Dixon was also inspired by listening to such favorite artists as James Taylor, Sting and Phil Collins. When he was a teenager, he learned how to play guitar and drums, and he started writing songs

Following high school, Dixon first attended Colorado State University, and he also joined the prominent singing group, Up With People. He toured with the group extensively, playing shows throughout the U.S. and Europe. Then a friend (in the group) recommended that Dixon attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He subsequently graduated from Berklee with a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Music

After Berklee, Dixon moved to New York City for two years, before deciding to move to Nashville and establish his music career there. Since then, Dixon has become a successful pro songwriter and performer. As a writer, Dixon co-wrote a hit song for country star Steve Holy called "Put Your Best Dress On," and he's had over 20 cuts with such artists as George Jones, Restless Heart, Rodney Atkins and Neal McCoy. Dixon's songs have also been placed in several hit movies, including Scream, Terminator 3, Live Free And Die Hard, and Flight Of The Phoenix

As a performer, Dixon fronts his band, the Dillon Dixon Band, which performs and tours steadily. This summer the band will be playing shows in Kentucky, New York, Denver and Los Angeles. Notably, Dixon has a song called "Chip Away" which is featuredon a compilation album called Teddy Gentry's Best New Nashville on Cracker Barrel Records

BUCKY WATERS Raymond Chevalier "Bucky" Waters (born December 17, 1935) is a current basketball broadcaster with ESPN and MSG Network and a retired NCAA basketball head coach. He served as head coach for the West Virginia University men's basketball team from 1965–69 and was head coach for the Duke University men's team from 1969-1973. His overall head coaching record is 133-96 and includes four postseason appearances

As a player, Waters played under Hall of Fame Coach Everett Case at North Carolina State University. Only N. C. State's National Championship teams of 1974 and 1983 surpassed the Wolfpack’s Nationally 2nd ranked team of the Waters’ era

As a coach, Waters spent four years at West Virginia University and ten years at Duke University producing winning records and postseason tournament teams at both universities. Waters is one of only four individuals in ACC history to be on ACC basketball championship teams at two different universities—first as a player at N. C. State (1956), then later as an assistant coach at Duke University (1960, 1963, 1964). He is also one of only six ACC players to become an ACC head basketball coach

In the eighteen years of college basketball as player and coach Waters participated in 5 conference Championships, 5 NCAA Tournaments, 3 National Invitation Tournaments, and 2 Final Fours. His fourteen years of experience as both player and coach in the ACC found him in the top half of his conference every year. As head coach at WVU, Waters maintained a winning record against his former school: His Mountaineers won 2 of 3 over the Blue Devils, including a 1966 victory over the #1,undefeated Blue Devils—a Duke team that would later go on to the Final Four

STEPHEN LEICHT At 25 years of age, Stephen Leicht is the future of NASCAR. Stephen grew up in the heart of NASCAR country in Asheville, NC and started racing and winning at a very young age from ASA late model championships to ARCA races before entering the NASCARSeries with Robert Yates Racing

Stephen has been a NASCAR driver since 2005 and has (1) win, (3) top fives and (12) top tens in the Nationwide Series finishingseventh in points in his only full season

Leicht won his first career NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway in June 2007

In 2009, Stephen drove for Richard Childress Racing averaging a top ten start and top ten finish in all (13) races he competed in forsponsor Holiday Inn

In 2011, Stephen caught the eye of team owner Tommy Baldwin and after two very successful test sessions, he ran a very impressive NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond - running the car up to 3rd position before finishing 24th, grabbing the networkannouncers’ attention and proving he is very much a serious contender

JEFF MULLINS Jeff Mullins is a retired American basketball player and coach. He played college basketball with the Duke Blue Devils and in the National Basketball Association (NBA) with the St. Louis Hawks and Golden State Warriors. Mullins served the head college basketball coach at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 1985 to 1996

Mullins, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, was a very talented 6'4"forward in high school. After graduation he attended Duke University from 1960 through 1964, where he averaged 21.9 points per game for his career. His #44 Duke jersey was retired in 1994. In 2002, Mullins was named to the ACC 50th Anniversary men's basketball team as one of the fifty greatest players in Atlantic Coast Conference history. Mullins was a member of the United States Olympic basketball team that won the gold at the 1964 Summer Olympics

Mullins was taken by the St. Louis Hawks in the first round (6th pick overall) of the 1964 NBA Draft. After two lackluster seasons with the Hawks he moved to the Golden State Warriors where he enjoyed the best seasons of his career and was selected as an NBA All-Star three times - in 1969, 1970, and 1971. He helped the Warriors to the 1967 Western Conferencetitle and the 1975 NBA championship. Upon his retirement in 1976 he had amassed a total of 13,017 points for a twelve-

year career average of 16.2 points per game

KEN DUNEK Ken Dunek played basketball at Marengo High School in Marengo, Illinois and graduated in 1975. From there he accepted a scholarship to Paducah (KY) Community College, where he was an all region JUCO player his sophomore year. He then accepted a full ride for basketball at Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis) and played the 1977 season there. He switched to a football scholarship in 1978 as a tight end (despite having played no high school football) when the coaches noticed his large frame and speed on the court. He was then granted an extra year of eligibility for switching sports, and played both basketball and football for the MSU Tigers in 1979

Receiving interest from several NFL teams including the Saints and Rams, he chose to accept a free agent offer from the Philadelphia Eagles in 1980, and was able to make the team as a rookie free agent. He was active for two regular season games, and received an NFC Championship ring when the Eagles participated in Super Bowl XV against Jim Plunkett and the Oakland Raiders. After his release by the Birds in 1981, he was briefly a member

of the Baltimore Colts in 1982 and played in the Hall of Fame game against Bud Grant and the Minnesota Vikings before signing with the NY Giants later that preseason. He finished his professional football career with the two-time USFL Champion Philadelphia Stars led by Head Coach Jim Mora, and won two more rings as they team triumphed in the 1984 and 1985 seasons. Ken set a single game receiving record for the franchise in 1985 with 11 receptions for 109 yards against Reggie White and the Memphis Showboats

An avid golfer and basketball enthusiast, Ken has been a basketball coach for local AAU, high school, and college programs. He resides in Mount Laurel, NJ with his wifeTerri, and his daughters Ashley, and triplets Alexandra, Taylor, and Jamie
