    OPEN DATA PLAN

Following a year of raising awareness within public organisations and the local government,

the Apps4Amsterdam initiative (http://www.appsforamsterdam.nl/) is moving to the next

level. Beyond hackathons and contests, the Open Data initiative focuses on the community

and wants to stimulate demand on the developers side. The plan aims to create a blueprint

for doing business and being successful with Open Data.

Appsterdam is participating in a joint venture with AIM and Waag Society to leverage the

Open Data dialogue and support developers and products that are using and/or combining

Open Data meaningfully. Appsterdams mission is to create momentum and focus on two or

three existing use cases to bring them to greatness.
