E-Learning SolutionsAutomation College offers five different types of e-Learning courses. Each of these options reducestravel expense, minimizes time away from home and scheduled work, offers more flexibility in completing

course work, and helps users complete their training just-in-time.To enroll in E-Learning sessions, please visit our website www.honeywellprocess.com/en-US/training. If a class is not scheduled, contact [email protected].

    Virtual Training

Virtual courses contain the same content as conventional in-centre courses, but instead of going to the centre, the participant

can access this content in a combination of some or all of the following:

Real-time presentations and daily live Q&A sessions with a facilitator.

    Recorded lectures.

    Demonstration videos.

Electronic course documentation. Access to remote servers for hands-on practice and completion of lab assignments.

Virtual offerings include Uniformance (UNI-xxx-VT), OneWireless (OW-xxx-VT), Experion Overview (EXP-xxx-VT), and the full

sequence of foundation Experion courses. Upon completion of a virtual course, you will receive the same completion credit

    as for a conventional course.

Live WebinarThese webinar sessions usually last 1-2 hours, and provide a remote facilitator who works in real time with a limited number of

participants. The focus here is on specific areas in which participants wish to improve their understanding; for example, TCP/IP,

SQL, Disaster Recovery, and the fundamentals of Virtual Machines. Course code extension of Live Webinars is -LW.

Recorded TrainingThese recordings are typically of 1-2 hours duration, and address specific themes. For example, some help identify the

differences between a new product release and a previous release with which participants might already be familiar. Users

have the ability to access all or part of these recordings as often as they wish for a specified period. Course code extension

    of Recorded Training is -RT.

Computer-Based LearningThese highly interactive CD/DVD courses allow participants to access training any time and at any place. Subjects range

from TDC3000 System Overview, to Implementation, and include Fundamentals of Plant Operations. These can be purchased

in a variety of ways, from individual copies to licenses that cover users entire site. Course code extension of Computer-Based

    Learning courses is -CBT.

Asynchronous TrainingAsynchronous Training courses contain the same content as conventional in-centre courses, but instead of traveling to a center,

students attend from their own work or home locations. With 24-hour access to all course contents for a specified period of time,

students progress at their own pace and on their own schedule. Course resources include a combination of some or all of the

    following:

    Recorded lectures.

    Demonstration videos.

    Electronic course documentation.

Access to remote servers for hands-on practice and completion of lab assignments.

Email access to an Automation College mailbox for questions occurring during course work.

Asynchronous Training offerings include the full sequence of foundation Exper ion courses (EXP-xxx-AT). Upon completion

of an Asynchronous Training course, students receive the same completion credit as for a conventional class.

These five E-Learning training offerings all qualify for the Training Match Fund program.

Training Needs Assessment (TNA)Todays competitive environment demands automation solutions that increase plant efficiency andprofitability. However upgrading your aging automation system only addresses half of the problem.

Your most crucial investment your employees could still be struggling to get a maximum benefitout of the new system.

Training Needs Assessment is a new service that effectively identifies the gaps between installedsystems capabilities vis--vis the skills of your operations and maintenance workforce. This servicealso provides you with a customized training plan that will improve skills, knowledge and performanceof your plant personnel.

    Benefits of Training Needs Assessment:

A comprehensive training plan based on the evaluation of plant automation assets, the people responsible for operating

or maintaining these assets, and interviews with plant managers and supervisors. This training plan based on needs is different

    for every plant and situation.

A full understanding of the gaps in knowledge and required skills to efficiently and safely manage the plant automation assets.

A clear picture of the plant assets and training requirement which enables a more focused and effective training investment.

Recommendations on integration of standard in-center scheduled courses with customized on-site courses targeted at your

    system architecture.

    Training Needs Assessment Process:

Step 1 - Collect Plant and Automation System Data:

The TNA process starts with the study of your plant, process and Automation Systems.

Step 2 - Collect People Data:

This part involves an understanding of plant organization, departments, roles and responsibilities, number of people in each

department/role, high level understanding of the process. The Automation College also needs to understand the key issues

the plant is facing and any future plans such as new hires, retirements, major upgrades, etc.

    Step 3 - Gap Analysis:

Based on interviews with Plant Management, the Automation College can optionally perform a Skills Assessment of operators

and engineers. Here major stakeholders in the plant are interviewed including front line operators, engineers and first level

managers and shift supervisors. Then, the Automation College compares this information against the automation system

operations best practices, and presents the gap analysis report to management.

    Step 4 - Training Plan:

A comprehensive training plan and training schedule are presented that addresses the issues identified in the gap analysis.

The training plan includes customized on-site courses, standard in-center scheduled course, remote or E-Learning courses

depending on the result of the gap analysis.
