Double Bar D WarrantyAll age advantaged bulls are Semen evaluated and have passed the test by a licensed Vet-erinarian. We encourage you to buy insurance on your newly purchased bull to protect your investment. Insurance agents will be available to you on sale day and all bulls will be insurable at that time. However if your Bull or Female should fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he or she will be replaced with a bull or heifer of equal value. If this cannot be agreed upon, an adjust-ment will be made or a credit will be given towards the purchase of another one of our animals.

WelcomeWelcome to our 13th annual on farm “Best of Both Worlds” bull and female sale. First of all we would like to extend a big appreciation for all of you whom purchased and bid on our cattle in our 2012 sale. We look forward to hosting you for this year’s event, again on farm and note the NEW sale date, Saturday, Feb 16, 2013. Being in the seedstock cattle business for over 40 years has been extremely rewarding through the friends and fellow breeders relationships. Having the opportunity for our genetics to go out and make an impact in your breeding program is very satisfying and the 2013 line-up is perhaps the most consistent set of bulls we have offered to date;; stout made, hairy, big middle, and correct.

Our “Age Advantaged” bulls offer buyers the opportunity for selecting more mature bulls that have been scrutinized very carefully and developed slowly to encourage longevity and fertility. We are gradually moving more to a summer and fall calving program, but will continue to winter calve a large breeding group.

The Black and Red Simmental sector has been growing and with the calves from Hummer and Double Bar D Gunner 1W, this is a powerful set. This will be the last of the Hummer offspring as he is deceased and semen is gone. Gunner 1W topped our 2010 sale with half interest going

The Red Angus program is focused around two walking herdsires that have been doing a great job. The calving ease section is mainly sired by Red YY Design King 522R. He is a “bet the Ranch” heifer bull and calves have great vigor at birth and quiet dispositions as they mature. The power Red Angus bulls are again sired by Red Dwajo Allstar, lots of growth and performance.

Our feeding program consists of high roughage, low concentrate level including grass/alfalfa hay, corn silage, and oats as a TMR. We want to develop the bulls with our customer in mind. This encourages sound feet, digestive, and structural growth at an optimum rate. Take note of our warranty program in the catalog as well.

Well another year has passed us by and bull sale season is upon us, and what a great group of bulls to get things started with. With Double Bar D mov-ing their sale date, I knew that these bulls needed to look the part that much sooner of course. But what a surprise I got. It is amazing what top shelf genetics will do -- the feeding program was very similar to last year. These bulls continue to impress to put on frame and muscle with a ration that stays high in roughage helping to ensure a strong foundation of feet and legs and helping ensure longevity. The bulls with extra age continue to impress this year again to have the muscularity and herd bull look. Make sure you check them out. Saying that about the older bulls can be repeated for the yearlings as they too are very impressive. As always, I make it a priority to help make sure that we do what is necessary to develop these bulls on a high plain of nutrition for MAX results. It is, as usual, lots of fun to be involved with the Double Bar D beef operation and see the development of the new crop of calves every year. Never be afraid to step into the Dimler’s genetics and have full faith in their development program.

Sales Management CommentsOn behalf of everyone at Double Bar D Farms we would like to welcome you to their annual bull and female sale. We have been pleased to have co-managed the event with the Dimler families since it’s inception. This, if you didn’t know already, is a very serious agriculture operation both on the grain and cattle sides of things. The cattle sector of Double Bar D is our focus for this event which is now being held in mid February.

The two year old bulls were a HUGE highlight at this sale last year. They offered as many choices in their pen as any that I’ve probably seen. These -

So in essence the females will carry some very intentional genetic makeups that feature some of the very best cows at Double Bar D including past, present and future donor cows.
