BERMUDA & BAHAMA SHUTTERS

Bermuda shutters have been used

for centuries in the Caribbean is-

lands and have recently made

their way to coastal regions of the

United States. Offering protection

from the sun and rain, sheltering

windows from storms, while also

allowing the outside breeze into

the home, even in the fully closed

position.

This style is very popular in all ar-

eas of the United States. Unlike

standard shutters, which are

hinged on window sides, Bermuda

shutters pivot on a hinge at the

top of a window. Instead of two shutters per window,

a Bermuda shutter is one single shutter that is

pushed open and closed. Bermuda shutters add a

tropical feel to your home's decor. Bermuda shutters

are made of two of the finest woods; Spanish Cedar

and Western Red Cedar. These shutters are such a

versatile choice; they can either be the focal point of

your home’s exterior or simply add an accent to its

décor.
