About the College The International College of Aeronautics (ICA) is a United States of America registered school and

Lagos State government of Nigeria approved vocational training institution. The school is established

to provide aviation education training for people aspiring to work in licensed and non-licensed

aviation disciplines.

Aviation education is that branch of general education concerned with communicating knowledge,

skills, and attitudes about aviation and its impact upon society. It may be integrated as part of the

curriculums for high schools and tertiary institutions.

The advent of aviation education has contributed immensely to the technological advancement of the

industrialized nations. Africa is the next frontier. It will be exciting to plant the seed of aviators from

the state’s existing Secondary Schools, technical colleges and tertiary institutions.

The training involved in aviation has built-in skills that our youths can acquire to become job creators

instead of being job seekers.

Aviation is the fastest growing industry in Africa today. There are existing shortages of skilled

manpower to service the growing aviation industry. Most companies hire foreign expatriates

because the indigenous people don’t have the required skills/experiences to take on these jobs.

Our graduates will hence be equipped with the tools to contribute to a sustainable technological

advancement of aerospace industry in Nigeria.

Our Foreign Affiliates

Cameroon, Africa

ICA has affiliation with Jagora University to offer higher education courses to our Students. Our students

start their training at our College from certificate in Basic Aviation Technology to Diploma program in

Applied Aviation Science with full access and opportunity to convert courses taken at ICA to full academic

credits for Associate Degree. The students can enroll with the Associate degree to pursue bachelor’s

degrees programs at Jagora University. Start with ICA and get your bachelor’s degree in four years.

ICA Partners with Gleim Aviation in USA to offer On-Line FAA Part 141 ground school courses. Gleim

Aviation was approved by FAA on June 3rd, 2013 as authorized Pilot School to conduct the On-

line Part 141 Pilot Ground School Courses in Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument Rating and

Commercial Pilot courses. Our students will receive credits for online ground school courses towards

your Diploma program in Applied Aviation Science.

ICA also has affiliation with Zenith Aircraft Company in Mexico, Missouri, USA and our students learn

to build a complete flyable Experimental aircraft during the entire advance diploma program in

Aircraft Building Technology. The training involved has built-in skills that our youths can acquire to

become job creators instead of being job seekers.

Unemployment in Nigeria There are over 65 million unemployed people in Nigeria. More of them are our youths. If you are a

Nigerian, you probably know someone between the ages of 15-35 looking for a job. A large number

of these youths have college degrees, many graduated from two to five years ago. They are your

children, cousins, nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters. And they all have one thing in common.

!!!!! No Jobs !!!!!!.

In aviation, there are over three hundred freshly graduated pilots unemployed in Nigeria largely

because they have no experience to secure lucrative jobs with Airlines. Our school to work program

Page 4: [2013]aeronauticscollege.com/mt-content/uploads/2020/07/ica-new-brochure-ver-3.0.pdf2.0 Applied Aviation Science (Flight or Maintenance Specialty) The Certificate or Diploma course

will provide experience opportunities for our young graduates to secure those lucrative jobs

available in the industry.

Our Education Center

The era of isolation in aviation education is over. Most of aviation technologies in advanced world

are utilized outside the airport environment. They can commonly be found at our homes, shops and

small & large scale industries.

Our development plan is to partner with institutions of higher learning for research and technological

collaborations. At the same time, we are bringing education to your doorsteps.

Currently, we have established education centers with Lagos State Polytechnics and Aero Contractors

of Nigeria. The Ikorodu Center run a semester system. But prospective students can enroll on

monthly basis.

The ICA-Laspotech Education Center is located on the main campus of Lagos State Polytechnic at

Ikorodu, Lagos. The center offers Certificates and Diploma courses in 1. Basic Aviation Technology,

2. Applied Aviation Science (Flight & Maintenance Specialties).
