Balance• Designs should always achieve a
sense of visual balance- how the art elements are distributed in a design.
• You shouldn’t place all your same elements of art on the same side and place on the paper.
• This could make one part of your artwork seem “heavy”.
Shepard Fairey
Movement
• When your artwork is balanced, it creates movement:
• How your eye is lead around a design.
• Your eye does not get “stuck” on one part of the design.
• This creates a visual flow and can help people understand your artwork better. Edgar Degas
