On January 16, 1938, Benny Goodman took his swing orchestra to
Carnegie Hall. The rest is history. After the final encore that evening, popular music was defined for a generation:
big band swing became the thing, and Benny Goodman was crowned king!
Since the advent of Benny Goodman, there have been too few clarinetists to fill the void that Goodman left. Ken Peplowski is most certainly one of those few. The man is magic.” - MEL TORMÉ
This uplifting and multicultural concert features holiday music from traditional to swing to rock, and is sure to become a holiday tradition! A full chorus joins the orchestra for special arrangements of “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” “Sleigh Ride,” “O Holy Night,” “Jingle Bells Forever,” “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies,” an audience sing-along, and much more.
